7th Graders in Tennessee Made to Recite ‘Allah Is the Only God’ in Public School

Middle school parents in Tennessee are up in arms on learning that their children were instructed to recite and write, “Allah is the only god,” as part of a world history project.

In the Maury County School District, students were assigned a Five Pillars of Islam project that included the translation of the pillar of “Shahada” as being, “There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is his prophet.”

Joy Ellis, the mother of a seventh-grader at Spring Hill Middle School, said that Christian children should not be instructed to write the Shahada.

“This is a seventh grade state standard, and will be on the TCAP,” Ellis said. “I didn’t have a problem with the history of Islam being taught, but to go so far as to make my child write the Shahada, is unacceptable.”

Another mother of a seventh-grade girl, Brandee Porterfield, complained to officials at Spring Hill Middle School because of its overemphasis on Islam to the exclusion of Christianity and Judaism.

Porterfield said she has no objections to her daughter learning details of the Islamic religion, but she objects to the fact that the history unit didn’t devote similar time to Christianity or Judaism.

“It really did bother me that they skipped the whole chapter on the rise of Christianity and they spent three weeks just studying Islam,” she said.

Porterfield and other parents were also concerned with the school’s decision to have children write and recite the Islamic creed.

What are saying they plan to DO about it? Here in upper East Tenn, to local talker has featured it for a long time. There have been meetings and prayer rallies at the schools.

That’s well and good. But, best is to take them away from the indoctrination. Starve the beast.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

I wish someone would try to make the kids recite "Jesus is Lord" and see what happens.

We all know the end result of that, don't we.

And I doubt exposing the hypocrisy would make a bit of difference.

Glad I’m old. Feel sorry for the kids coming up. They will never understand what they missed.

The order is probably on a private e-mail system somewhere in a bathroom closet...or equivalent.

Lois Lerner knew about e-mail systems too...

Jihadis know about guns too; and once their population increases things may get complicated.

Pretty close:

1 Corinthians 10
19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

Got very complicated for those armed jihadis in Garland TX.

There’s a koranimalistic passage which basically says, “My strength is as the strength of a hundred infidels, because my heart belongs to Mohammed.”

They believe that cr@p so yes, there will be trouble ahead. But this isn’t the Middle East; here the “infidels” have guns and muzzies hate it when they are evenly matched.

I understand and do not doubt your courage, nor your skill.

I am encouraged that the Garland police were able to stop the attack, that time.

But do you really want to have to draw in the middle of your kid’s birthday party with all the collateral damage? Or while shopping with your family at the mall? The police can’t be everywhere...and whose to say you’ll even be there when the attack comes? Just sayin’, it might not be all fun and games.

I hope not, I wish not. But today is 9/11.

All we can do is be prepared for the worst. IMO, it’s coming & in the form of increasingly hostile & aggressive Muslims in our midst. Their numbers grow, their assertiveness & willingness to take risks grow with it.

The police indeed can’t be everywhere, which is why we need trained, armed citizens.

No fun & games anymore, it’s now a grim matter of business for all of us who value our freedoms. Parents guard their children’s birthday parties with M-16’s in Israel, why should we be different, since it’s the same enemy?

You & I may not be at war with Islam nor harbor enmity toward Muslims when we see them, but Islam is at war with us. Not Al Qaeda, not ISIS, not `radical Islamism’, but Islam. Bottom line.
