Combustion of available fossil fuel resources sufficient to eliminate the Antarctic Ice Sheet.
Few peer-reviewed study titles sound quite so much like a line spoken by the bad-news-bearing scientist from a dystopian sci-fi movie. But there it is. A real-worldand apparently very possibledystopia.
For what Ken Caldeira, a climate scientist at the Carnegie Institution for Science and an author on the paper, published Friday in the journal Science Advances, believes is the first time, he and his colleagues have shown that there are enough fossil fuels still in the ground to melt effectively all of Antarctica and ultimately cause as much as 200 feet of sea level rise.

Not THIS crap again!
At least we can finally get those Nazi saucer bases!
Common words used by global warming advocate; might, could, if, possibly,
Guess they have not yet received those satellite pics showing how much the arctic ice coverage has grown recently.
And also forgot that predictions were made not that long ago for an ice-free arctic by now. Which it ain’t (see above).
Sorry, but Yahoo appears to be populated by CNN/MSNBC dropouts.
And monkeys might fly out of my butt.
They talk about melting the ice on Antarctica as if its a bad thing.
I look forward to vacationing on warm Antarctic beaches.
WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!
(All caps and 3 exclamation points)
This is hugh and series.
I’m surprised it hasn’t tipped over already with all that ice on it.
Yes, that failed theory when we didn't burn up as predicted.
Ted Cruz: And the new theory of global warming interestingly enough, the solution was the exact same as the solution had been for global cooling. It was massive government control of the economy, the energy sector, and every aspect of our lives. But then the problem became the data and evidence didnt back up global warming. In particular if you look at the satellite data.
On the one hand, we lose a few inches of beach in the Maldives.
On the other hand, Greenland, Siberia, and Antarctica become farmable. I have a hard time seeing the down side.
Boy, this is really scary. My family and I are already packing for Mars.
Yes, we will all die.
I just hope the water doesn’t get that far.
OMG!

Yes, lets see if we can work the same magic there too.
I’m still thinkin’ some major HVAC outfit needs to “win” (read, “We got connections!”) a big govt contract to ship HUGE solar and wind powered HVAC units to Alaska to help re-freeze all them melting glaciers.
If those cities include L.A., S.F., and N.Y.C., then let’s get to burning that fuel!
