This weekend we remember the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. In the wake of that horrible day, there are many who pledged we will never forget.
From a psychological standpoint, it is necessary and important to forget grief with the passage of time. Anyone who has ever lost a loved one would not wish to bear the fresh agony day after day, year after year, without the merciful blunting of anguish that comes with distance.
But unlike the pain of losing a loved one, where eventually the agony of loss is replaced with loving memories of their virtues, America is forgetting the pain of 9/11 and replacing it with something far worse. We are inviting a repeat of the trauma.
We say well never forget. But we have. We are.......
You see, the world changed on that date. The collective blinders were ripped off. We saw evil manifested here on our shores. We could no longer claim it only happens over there to someone else.

We forgot a longtime ago.
Exactly! The day before(September 10)The US Senate agreed to let the Biggest spreader of International Terrorism a Free Rein!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On 09/11/2001 the United States Military went to war, The “United States” went to Wal-Mart. Thanks Bush.
Dec 7, 1941. Pearl Harbor bombed! The next day tens of thousands were lined up to join the military to kill Japs!
Sept 11, 2001 Arab terrorists kill and destroy three thousand Americans in the USA! The next day, some are ready to join up to kill Arabs, but most say...”I would love to join, but I have to get to my basket weaving class at the University!”
We did our part to make sure thousands of drivers on the busiest Interstate in the US didn’t forget.

Between the passage of time, Bush and other politicians declaring islam a ROP and insane conspiracy theories, we are forgetting.
This video should be required viewing yearly for all Americans:

I think Obama has said that Sept. 11th should be a day of service???
A day of service to community is fine in its own way, but why did Obama say we should do that on Sept. 11th?? What does helping out in the community have to do with an act of war against us????
Bump
We forgot when a Muslim-named guy was elected president in ‘08..........
Imagine telling our nation on 10/11/01 that in 7 years we’d be putting a man with an Islamic background in the oval office...........
Our memories are very, very short..........
But then, our putting a man as president with a name that is so close to Osama just shows how open and tolerant we are - right?
So open and tolerant that we say, “Don’t destroy us from outside! With suicidal planes! Come on in.......destroy us from the inside!”
As someone who was in the midst of the chaos, I can definitely say that many have forgotten not the event, but the absolute carnage and terror of that day. The media and politicians every year gloss over more and more and make it seem like a bad accident.
Sorry, maybe I’m angry, maybe I’m bitter but this single event should mobilize people to speak out against the stupidity or arming Iran, the stupidity of bringing in Syrian refugees, and most importantly call out the media and politicians on their pandering to the Islamic world.
Their not going to be satisfied until the Lincoln memorial is turned into a mosque.
Forgotten a long time ago.
How many people actually know that the initial killed estimate was 30K? Because that was how many were expected and thought to be in the towers that day. That is how many the terrorists hoped to kill. And would have had not a variety of circumstances intervened.
IMO, because it was plain luck that the death toll wasn’t 10 times greater, we should have reacted to the heinousness of 30K dead.
The Muslim apologists in government were out selling their lies pretty quickly after. One of my lib friends who was gung ho to take it to the Muzzies was back in hate Bush, multicultural tolerance mode less than a year after the SLAUGHTER of his fellow Americans.
I am not able to answer your question.
It will not be forgotten, but the collective memory is now and has been in process of being softened. News story say “...when planes flew into buildings...” instead of “19 ROP’ers flew occupied planes into occupied buildings crying allaku akbar”
It was a muslim mass murder.
Now it is the republican leadership that is selling us down the road. 14 years hence subsequent to the most serious attack on American soil since the revolution and our congress is importing Muslims with no way to verify their militancy and funding Iran's nuclear program at the same time.
We have all been lied to repeatedly by these disgusting bastards who care nothing for future generations or preserving our heritage. I can't express the contempt I hold for McConnell, Boehner, McCain and the rest. Suffice it to say, it is just a step below my feelings for the liberal elites.
I watched New Yorkers in great shock and sadness during the event. Then rally with flags and righteous anger.
Then all those fools voted for Barak Obama. Just unbelievable.
What you said. Most of the little elementary school kids who were so pro-America on 09-11-2001 are now retarded and brainwashed anti-America college kiddies ready to party with their Marxist programmers.
A crypto-Muslim named “Hussein” has been occupying the White House since 2009. I’d say 9/11 has been collectively forgotten for some time.
