IF there was something to watch on television, then more people would watch.

Personally not interested in watching Liberals, homos, distorted reality, and unfunny alleged comedy, Dancing with what stars?, or any other such mediocrity.

Cable killed the family communal TV experience.

That and the fact that shows have become so sex-obsessed that no one wants to watch them with grandma or the kids in the room now.

99.9% of TV shows are utter dreck and 99.999999999% of commercials are stupidity squared. It’s a wonder ANYONE watches ANYTHING on broadcast media anymore.

Other than sporting events, TV is horrible. There must be 50 shows a week with women being raped and murdered, which passes for entertainment. Then there’s the Leftist propaganda ladled into every talk show. We only watch the local news and sports.

Star Trek The Next Generation “The Neutral Zone”…(First aired: May 16, 1988)
SONNY: Wrong? Only that your computer here fixed just about the best martini I have ever had. (with a nod to Data) I just might get to like this place. Let's see if the Braves are on. How do you turn on this here teevee?

RIKER: Teevee?

SONNY: Yeah, boob-tube... you know. I'd like to find out how the Braves are doin' after all this time. Probably still finding ways to lose.

DATA: (to Riker) Oh -- I think he means television, sir.

SONNY: Or maybe catch up on the soaps.

DATA:(to Sonny) That particular form of entertainment did not last much beyond the year Two Thousand Forty.

"This is a good thing."

If they're not watching network TV in the evening, then what are they doing?

If my grand children are any indication, they're playing video games on their X-Boxes or Play Stations, and I'm not so sure that's a good thing.

Pretty much now the only shows I watch are KDramas, can’t stand the dreck on US television these days.

A few weeks ago I was thinking about this. On 9-11, 2001, we brought a tv cart into a conference room, to watch the news.

Now we would just watch coverage on the internet.

Yes, the internet existed that day...but it was still our mentality to watch tv for news and events - but no longer.

We watch Blue Bloods, but it has started to drift leftward occasionally. Waiting for the new (2015) season to come out on Netflix, sometime next summer I’m guessing.

I got rid of cable finally six months ago. mainly because my wife insisted on watching “Fox and Friends” every morning. I was gonna end up killing someone if I had to keep hearing that.

Yep, seems like they’re killing the golden goose on *purpose*. Used to be 10m content, then 4-5m of ads, enough time for a restroom trip, make a sandwich or a phone call; now it’s 5-6m content for every 4m of ads BOOMING at 140% the volume.

Screw them.

(yep, some folks like to view the credits on some presentations).

I am one of those folks.

Quite often, a movie ends in such a way that the beginning of the end credits serves as a segue back to the real world. It's an artistic device which is extremely effective when done well.

The compressed, speeded up credits with the screeching ad taking over the screen the nanosecond the movie ends made me change channels every single time.

I've enjoyed FOXNEWS over the years too, but Fox and Friends has evolved into blather and a "How to cook this or that" show. I can't watch it anymore either.

You did your wife a favor :-)

I watch Blue Bloods, as well as The Middle and The Goldbergs on ABC. Oddly enough all three I was turned on to by my mom.

None are offensive, though ABC stuffs those comedies so full of commercials it drives me insane. And they are wrapped around the very destructive Modern Family.

TV is mostly nostalgia for me so I watch mainly old shows I remember from my youth on MeTV and the like.

Queer celebrating, male bashing, Christian humiliating, shallow plot, adult youth appeasing, foul languaged, sophomoric, fake reality, political agenda, dizzying camera motion TV is losing viewers?

Can’t imagine why.

Sure, i pay for cable, since all the local broadcasting went digital. (Something else that happened under the mulatto queer-in-charge.) But, i have to, to get a dependable computer connection at a price and quality over ATT.

Now, as to ‘watching’ TV. I look through the channel guide and find individual shows of interest on other than abcnbccbs. I record them, and come back to them at my leisure. Also, what’s nice, is I can fast forward through the stupid commercials. Right now, i have ‘music choice’ playing Oktoberfest musick.

I am a fan of regular good ol’ radio, as well. I do not have the boob tube on all the time. I do have an internet radio connection subscription, and have had for over 7 years, and is better than this eyeheart junk.

I have several interests, and a channel of my own on YouTube, so i am going through those as well.

Lastly, there is a contraption that i have that a lot of the millenials don’t .... it’s called a printed book.
