According to a CBS News poll released on Oct. 11, Christie came in eighth, with 3 percent support among likely Republican voters. That’s a big improvement from the September CBS News poll which had Christie tied for 11th, with only 1 percent of the vote.

Businessman Donald Trump continues to lead the crowded GOP field with 27 percent. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson continues to place second. Carson saw his numbers drop slightly, from 23 percent to 21 percent.

As for the rest of the candidates, all of them poll in the single digits.

Wow, all he has to do is triple his poll numbers every time and he should be good to go.

PS - Do you have any eye bleach?

Unless we get Trump all if lost. None of the rest, with maybe the exception of Cruz, would be smart and strong enough to save what is left of America. We are very venerable to Russia, China, and Iran.

Interesting. The Doughboy TRIPLED his support for 1% to 3% and he gets top billing in a See BS news headline.

Then, this bombshell data is buried at the very end:

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is now viewed more unfavorably than favorably among those polled.

Could it simply be the top hat and monocle crowd deserting a sinking ship?

I think Trump MAY be the only one of the candidates that can really accomplish changes we need. But Trump may just talk himself out of the nom. I cant get behind Carson...just something about the guy Im not comfortable with...but the top tier is OK..till ya get to Bush LOL.

Holy crap, Conservative Tree House predicted that the next person to be “surged” would be Christie, and that we should be on the look out for a push. Looks like this is it. Chris Christie in freaking 8th place, moving up 3 percentage points, is going to be the next week-long GOPe Front Runner!

He DIDN’T go from 1% to 3%. When you factor in the margin of error in such a survey, he went from [between 0% and 3.8%] to [between .2% and 5.8%], or quite likely no movement at all.

When the numbers get that low, it is impossible to get an accurate reading.

When I read the article that was my thinking as well. They might be making a story out of statistical noise.

I think Christie is doing his “shake & bake” pork chop impression.

At this point, his poll numbers need further ‘shaking’ UP ...... per this chart, he won’t make the next debate. His RCP poll average is 2.4. A candidate has to have 3% to be in the debate although if they make it to 2.5, they will be rounded up to 3.
