Wayne Simmons has been arrested after a federal grand jury indicted him on "charges of major fraud against the United States, wire fraud, and making false statements to the government," including allegedly falsely claiming he worked for the CIA. Simmons was a frequent and favorite guest on Fox News, and was one of the conservative media's purported experts on the 2012 Benghazi attacks. Simmons joined several prominent conservative activists and media figures in calling for the House to convene a Benghazi Select Committee.

A private chump lies about being in the CIA and gets arrested. A former secretary of state lies about having classified top secret e-mails on an illegal private, unsecured server and well? Fill in the blanks. So much for the rule of law.
Why now. They had to know this guy was a phony from the start. Something fishy about this.

What is wrong with these people like Wayne Simmons? Just stand as who you are. People will respect you if you’re truthful and honorable. Jesus Christ is our No. 1 example of truth and honor.

All he would need is a paycheck, insurance, or retirement statement to prove his employment, then.
Plausible deniability will insulate the CIA, and leave him with no way to prove his connection to them.
Another possibility is that he is a setup, an actor they put in place to someday discredit the conservative media, until the right time to cut him loose. What better time than now, with Hillary about to face Trey Gowdy et al?
I thought something was wrong when he used Jason Bourne’ as one of his aliases..

S.O.S. sets up pop-up CIA and server in remote bathroom, overthrows a dictator, kills him and 4 Americans, funnels weapons to third country - NO PROBLEM AT ALL. NOTHING.

Only if he was a CIA case officer. Fox called him an “operative,” which indicates independent contractor. If he was involved in covert operations, he may have been paid with laundered funds, through one of their fronts, not readily traceable to the source.
Fox News and the sites that used him as a writer did a bad job of vetting his background if he was able to get away with lying about his career for years. This is a black eye on the credibility of their experts.
This is the guy who saw the secret polls showing Trump’s collapse.
Fox News is a joke. They are like the Daily Show on comedy central. All satire and make believe.
He was being used by the CIA as a 'source' to provide info to the media. They probably even told him he was an 'official' agent.
For some reason, they no longer need him, or want him.
I wonder if he got clearance to things he was not supposed to see.
