What amazes me is how seriously these “news journalists” take themselves.
Day after day they grind out story after story and their families, friends and colleagues tell them how intelligent and witty they are.
They quickly come to believe that they, and they alone, have the answers to all the great and mysterious questions of the universe.
Why, they are so important and wise they must gather each year and applaud themselves and give awards to those they deem the wittiest and most intelligent.
They interview and quote each other because they have walled themselves off from society at large.
They are so completely encapsulated in a bubble of their own making that the concerns of We The People never penetrate into their thought process.
They live in Never Never Land with Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Tinker Bell in the perfect and harmonious socialist paradise they have concocted in their fevered dreams.
Out here in the real world ‘tis a bit different.
Approximately 1% of the time they manage to generate thoughtful, well reasoned stories that are worth reading, remembering and earnestly discussing with others.
A further 10% of their efforts may be worthy of reading and gleaning a small bit of wisdom.
The remaining 89% of their efforts are barely worthy of existence.
Totally devoid of rhyme or reason, it is barely worthy of lining the bird cage with.
These self styled scribes and pundits have no idea that for the vast majority of America, they barely exist.
They do not realize that they and the positions they hold could disappear from the face of the world and No One Would Care.
In fact, the world would be a better place without them.
His head is ensconced ‘twix his buttocks. He has shi’ite for brains..

Like anyone at the Chicago Tribune would EVER cast a vote in a Republican primary election!!!!
