Jeb Bush, Miami congressman call on GOP to reinstate Telemundo debate

Jeb Bush told reporters in Orlando on Monday that the Republican National Committee should still hold a planned primary debate with Miami-based Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo.

"We should have the debate," Bush said in both English and Spanish. "I think we ought to have a Telemundo debate, or a Hispanic debate. It happened four years ago. Telemundo's not part of the problem of CNBC. They (CNBC) just didn't keep their word."

One of his local supporters, U.S. Rep. Carlos Curbelo of Miami, tweeted Monday that the GOP should reconsider its stance. And he copied Reince Priebus, the party chairman.

Carlos Curbelo ‎@carloslcurbelo

It would be a mistake for @GOP to cancel @Telemundo debate. America's Hispanic community deserves to hear from our candidates. cc @Reince

******

So they want preferential treatment with their own language television and/or don't understand English in order to watch what every other red blooded American citizen watches?

he founded Capitol Gains, a media relations firm

Curbelo, along with ten other GOP House freshmen, composed a letter to their Republican colleagues in September 2015, urging them to pass a resolution to avert a government shutdown.

Curbelo is a member of the National Republican Congressional Committee's Patriot Program. The program is designed to help protect vulnerable Republican incumbents heading into the 2016 election.

The debate was supposed to be Feb 28 and Jeb will be out of money and out of the race by then.

Telemundio is part of NBC, ergo they are out. What in, “Adios, Telemundo” does Jeb not understand?

Lord, I hope so. We’re overstocked on candidates.
Time for a clearance sale.

What debate? Telemundo viewers are free to watch the debates on other channels just like everyone else.

“you say “bugger off”-translated into Texmex/Norteno Spanish slang, that is “vete a la chingar”-it uses the F-bomb, not the more polite “bugger”-but it is still good advice for Jeb...

Jib-Jab Jeb. That’s it! His brother W was a rock star when he debated Kerry on Jib Jab. Worth a try, go for broke!

Is Jeb Bush still in the race?

I though he had already given up. I guess people must still be sending him contributions.

Jeb is angling to get Trump’s Mexican support by pushing a debate he knows Trump will refuse, hoping the alienate hispanics further.

Well, of course. Think of the all-important Iowa and New Hampshire Hispanic vote!

Seriously, he's running fourth or worse in his home state, and is spending his time there. He is running a campaign like you'd expect Lindsey Graham to run, only in Florida instead of South Carolina.

He can lower his burn rate, but if he cannot reestablish himself in Winner Take All Florida, he'll be out long before a primary humiliation.

Wait, why is Yeb being so racist? Shouldn't one of the debates be on a Chinese language station? Or Japanese? Why are the Hindus being excluded? Where's the Black Entertainment Television debate?

C’mon Yeb, if you're going to be inclusive, you can't exclude others...

The Mexican element in our American society is gaining too much influence. It is time to expel them.

As an aside our degenerate politicians are the canary in the coal mine. The see the handwriting on the wall and are willing to cast Americans aside and pander to what they see as the future.

Actually, “bugger” is less polite. It’s British slang for the homosexual version of F-off.

You ask why others are not making the same demands as Latinos who make up about 17% of us population. Much of the answer is in the facts that other groups of citizens such as Germans , Polish, and Scadinatives, Orientals and even my heritage the Russians were taught/conditioned to be self providing apart from the wheeling dealing of the likes of Latinos and even camel traders. The wheeler dealers had/have nothing to contribute to the advancement of society apart from how to play the blame game.
