On Friday, a new media report scrutinized two more stories from the neurosurgeon-turned-politician.
Last month, Carson detailed how he protected his white high school classmates the day after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s 1968 assassination. Violent race riots ravaged Detroit’s Southwestern High, which enrolled more black students than white students.
Carson, a junior lab assistant with a key to the school’s biology workroom, shepherded his frightened friends to the lab to shield them from the violence, he told the Wall Street Journal.
he newspaper spoke with a half dozen of Carson’s classmates and his high school physics teacher: Not one remembered his heroic hideaway.
“It may have happened, but I didn’t see it myself or hear about it,†Gregory Vartanian, who served in the junior ROTC with Carson, told the Wall Street Journal Friday.

I give him a pass on Columbia. I often wonder if I were to run for President would people think that I did not attend George Washington for my MBA. I worked all day and went into DC every night (when I had class) and attended classes and drove back home (45 minutes each way). I didn’t socialize at all with any students and rarely spoke with the professors. So it could be maybe he was too busy to make friends and get to know the professors. I know I’d have a lot of explaining to do with regards to getting proof I attended from other people. The only thing I have are the transcripts but today they may say they were forged or something. You never know in this climate.
We're starting to hit a realm here where nothing in his book is "remembered correctly." The General, for example, was not in Detroit on the day of the Memorial parade. So Carson's apologists now say Carson must have meant an entirely different event on some other date. So now the class isn't remembered correctly? I mean, it might be old, but you have old transcripts from your courses. You can look them up on there.
Statement's fair as far as it goes, but the Kenyan thing was a political lie floated by Barack and Mooch after he got his butt beat by Bobby Rush, to make Barackker, blacker. He wasn't "black enough" to pull the southside Chicago racist vote, so he made himself over with the Kenyan thing.
He's actually Indonesian, I think.
That's why Hawaii balked at putting him on their ballot in '08, and he and Nancy Pelosi had to threaten all kinds of people with all kinds of Kam Kuwata-ing, to make the state officials crater.

I am troubled most by his comment that abortion can not be prevented by law (i paraphrase, but that is the jist of what he said) but by changing of hearts.
That troubles me because we are possibly only 1 vote away from making major headway against abortion with the next Supreme Court justice..if not 1 than 2 picks.

That was my point, it doesn’t matter if it was “proven false”.
In fact, I don’t believe it was proven false, it was merely clarified.
Changing some of the text of the story is not a retraction.
That is how I feel as well.
We have some very fine candidates running. More accomplished and more upstanding than any Dem.
But we allow the media to destroy them.

You will totally disagree with me (and I agree that you have that right) but if Carson said that it is the truth.
Even if an action is illegal...if people want to participate it will happen. Murder, drugs (the best example), speeding. All of these things are a matter of personal choice.
Ayers bombed the Pentagon in 1972 (the 40th anniversary was oddly absent in election coverage in 2012) and they active robbing banks and such into the 1980s.
The freaking Weather Underground didn't even EXIST until fall of 1969. They were a splinter of the Commie group SDS. They were primarily active in the 1970s (but as I said above, active into the 80s).
I will pose a hypothetical.
Let’s say that Carson did lie. (in my world the jury is still out)
His lies, real or not, seem to be an attempt to lift up young people and promote a better life. Not for just black kids...but for all of them.
