(CNN)Black football players at the University of Missouri have joined calls demanding the ouster of the president of the state's four-campus university system over alleged inaction against racism on campus.
About 30 players made their thoughts known Saturday night in a tweet posted by Missouri's Legion of Black Collegians.
"The athletes of color on the University of Missouri football team truly believe "Injustice Anywhere is a threat to Justice Everywhere," read the tweet. "We will no longer participate in any football related activities until President Tim Wolfe resigns or is removed due to his negligence toward marginalized students' experience."
The players' move is the latest salvo in a spiraling debate over the experiences of African-American students at Missouri, who have complained of inaction on the part of school leaders in dealing with racism on the overwhelmingly white campus.

Mediocre, that is kind. They are 1-5 in their conference. Crappy is the proper word. Coach sided with players, idiot should be quietly looking for a new job as a high school coach or at an NAIA school.
Make sure they understand who is to blame. The idiot football player clowns who tried to take over the entire circus.
Because it’s a business, this kind of rebellion must be put down. The SEC shouldn’t worry about Missouri but about which schools plural are next if this succeeds.
The message must be clear: you play to have a shot at the NFL. Refuse to play and you’ll be dumped and blackballed. What other school wants an instigator?

Then give scholarships to Jr. College players immediately and field a team.
The current Missouri team is broken.
These current Missouri players signed a contract. And I’m certain the contract
does not give players a clause to replace the President and cause chaos.
What message will that send to other black players at other Universities
if you allow the inmates to run the prison.
The Missouri legislature can always vote to close the funding gap of
revenue lost.
And if so, I want them to feel the consequences too of race-war extortion, for that's what this is. If the Mizzou football team refuses to play because their extortion demands are not met, I want the entire athletic dept to burn.
And then the ground salted.
This is race-war extortion. No white college administrator is safe if this extortion succeeds.
Enough with the white guilt!
I bet a dollar Black Lives Matter and/or Soros is behind this, one way or another. Whites are disproportionately robbed, beaten, and raped by blacks at this school, but somehow its blacks that feel self-righteously superior because of some “incidents” which may or may not have been perpetrated by whites.
I’ll take a shit swastika over being robbed, beaten, or raped any day. Kick the contract violators out of school or make them pay, fire any school official who sides with these black supremacists, and cancel the football season if necessary.
If not, plan on having this sort of manipulation happen from now on incessantly.
Okeedokee. Wait them out. Why are they there? Not to get an education, but to get noticed by NFL scouts. Suspend them all and save the money.
They had one. His wife was doing one of the basketball players and they were all doing drugs with the head coach.
I have been thinking of that very thing after talking to my brother who mentioned it.
That is one hell of an idea.
Let’ face it, they were admitted (most of them, anyway) only because of their athletic abilities. They are given spam courses for four years, just to keep them in the system so they’re eligible to play.
Many end up graduating from schools that put athletics first and can barely spell their own names. (Remember Dexter Manley?) They are sitting it out, waiting for a call from the NFL.
And it’s all sponsored by idiot alumni who fund the athletic programs rather than any scientific research. Those funds would far better be spent on academically rather than athletically gifted students.

Maybe they should spend he time sitting in class to learn something so they avoid membership and Black Lives Matter and actually contribute something to society.
I bet they are all getting a free ride as well.
Their season sucks ass. Might as well blame the University President.
IMHO he should suspend and reject all scholarships that reflect a negative image on the University.
ED before we castigate all of college sports, the true argument is made that it funds academia.
These players know it but if they decide to eliminate their participation, they also know that they will be eliminated.
