They ridicule those who fear god, but they fear death as much if not more than god fearing people.

I suspect that most atheists would convert to Islam if they were to receive 'encouragement' from their Muslim overlords.

...with the growing number of Americans who are not affiliated with any religion...

One can draw a straight line between this and the growing decay of society.

They say that we are born with that knowledge.

What they don’t realise is that it is a result of being created in the image of God who they say doesn’t exist.

“And he proves it everyday by showing what a fascist nazi he is - as all the national socialists are.”

Was bedeutet das?

Nazis, in their superior intellectual wisdom, pledged their faith not to a Christian God - but to an older, Pagan pantheon of gods, and followed a much different moral compass.

And they believed they had found a reliable ally in the sons of Islam in the Middle East, united with them to drive the Jewish religion and ethnicity out of existence.

“I don’t care what atheists think.”

Which is actually an atheist attitude when you think about it, so why should they gripe? If everything is relative, then who cares what atheists think?

"I suspect that most atheists would convert to Islam if they were to receive 'encouragement' from their Muslim overlords"

And it's a really easy religion to convert to, just recite the Shahada in front of 3 muslim witnesses: "there is no Allah but Allah, and Mxxxxxxxxzzd is His prophet."

The path of least resistance, which is how Islam actually conquers: Make life hard for the non-muslims, and then offer them an "easy" way out.

If we are to be a godly nation we don’t need to be lead by a non-believer. Ted Cruz is a god-fearing Christian man of conservative values and morals. I support Cruz for our next POTUS, not some non-believer.

Our Judeo-Christian fore-fathers founded this nation in order to freely worship GOD and enjoy the inalienable rights given us by GOD. Something non-believers would never allow if given the reins to our government. Obama’s poor leadership is a prime example.

I’m voting for Cruz and if he doesn’t get the GOP nomination then I’ll vote for the next best conservative candidate.

Apparently Freedom of Thought is a one way street for Atheists. Like everything else freedom is relative for them.

Pray America wakes

Self-identified atheists tend to be aligned with the Democratic Party and with political liberalism. About two-thirds of atheists (69%) identify as Democrats (or lean in that direction), and a majority (56%) call themselves political liberals (compared with just one-in-ten who say they are conservatives). Atheists overwhelmingly favor same-sex marriage (92%) and legal abortion (87%). In addition, three-quarters (74%) say that government aid to the poor does more good than harm.

Hey, I believe Ted’s just saying that the American people should not vote for an atheist. OTOH if he means they should not be qualified to run then he has a problem with the Constitution.

I don’t care what atheists think any more than I care about what any religious denomination thinks when it comes to the Constitution.

I support Cruz 100% but I’m more interested in knowing that the president and all public officials fear the citizens of this Republic and the possibility that the people can remove them from their positions.

God, regardless of what many believe, is not going to strike down the democrats, the RINOs, or any enemy of the Constitution. Those actions he leaves to us so public officials at all level should be made to fear the voting public, and by that I mean the LEGAL voting public. Protect and defend the Constitution and you are protecting your rights to believe, worship, and fear God as you see fit.

Nice words from Cruz, but they have more effect on those equate God with the Constitution than on those who understand that men created the Constitution with protections for anyone to be God fearing, or not.

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
Article II, Section 1, Clause 5

I don’t see any other constitutional requirement.

The only thing between us and God —is our belief—or unbelief. And that can either draw us closer to God—or it can turn us from Him. Also Satan ,that “prince of this world” he is between us and our salvation -or desires that position. Only things I can think are between the created and the CREATOR.

I happen to agree with Cruz on this, and this story only reinforces my admiration for him.

But just for a moment let’s conduct a thought experiment. Let’s leave the Creator out of it, just for the moment.

OK, here goes: Would the atheists be happier having a President who thought himself to be the center of the universe, because there would be no more powerful human being and (of course) no more powerful Being of any sort, or would they be happier with someone who understood that he was mortal, that his acts were being watched and judged, and that he subscribed to a moral code that is geared toward helping one’s fellow humans and not treating them worse than animals because you can get away with it?

Filter ideology out of it - just look at whether the person in the WH should be humble and have a realistic perspective of his place on this Earth, or whether having a man with lots of ego and no moral restraints is better?

I know the sensible and logical answer to this question. Do they?

OTOH if he means they should not be qualified to run then he has a problem with the Constitution.

Oh, come on! You KNOW that he meant "I wouldn't vote for such a person, and would recommend that no one else do so either." He CLEARLY knows that there can be no religious test for any public office, and he CLEARLY knows that the qualifications for President don't include ANYTHING about a belief in G-d.

If you're going to object to what he says because you disagree with him, that's perfectly fine; but please don't be disingenuous. You KNOW what he meant, stop playing word games.

I guess this means that Ted Cruz won’t carry the atheist vote. Oh well, Jeb will probably reach out to them...

I think of atheists in the same light as Sandburg’s ‘The Fog’. They exist but without any substance of even their own spiritual endurance.

How can I KNOW what he meant? He CLEARLY said ‘Any president who doesn’t begin every day on his knees isn’t fit to be commander-in-chief of this country.’

He did not say “I wouldn’t vote for such a person, and would recommend that no one else do so either.”
