Trump vows humane 'deportation force'
MSNBC ^ | 11/11/15 | Jane C. Timm

Donald Trump on Wednesday defended his immigration proposal after being pressed repeatedly for details on how exactly he would deport millions of illegal immigrants, saying it was doable and "cheap."

"We're going to have a deportation force, and you're going to do it humanely," Trump told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" in an exclusive interview, arguing that he would deport people with a policy similar to the one former President Dwight Eisenhower used to deport 1.5 million by the busload, dropping the immigrants off at remote parts of the border.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush pushed hard against Trump's proposals in Tuesday's fourth Republican presidential debate, saying, "12 million illegal immigrants - to send them back 500,000 a month is just not possible, and it's not embracing American values and it would tear communities apart."

I guess you are right everything is impossible let’s just give up.

I guess you're right. Everything is simple. There are no complex problems.

Load them up on ships and send them south...way way south to Cozumel, Acapulco and even further. Adios y gracias.

Hearings only apply to Central Americans, not Mexicans.

Probably run into Constitutional issues with that kind of system. Equal protection clause and all.

Fine. You can appoint or deputize thousands of judges on a temporary basis. And you won't need to deport 11 million or 20 million or whatever the h3ll the real figure is.

You're right in that removing millions of illegals would require a massive increase in the legal system that oversees it and changes to the laws. But nobody is talking about that. Trump makes it sound like it's as simple as snapping his fingers.

Correct. It is amazing how these candidates like Kaisch, Bush, and Rubio maintain that illegals have a “right” not to be deported, and that it would be bad for the economy to give the jobs illegals have taken back to Americans.

The easiest way to start the process of deportation is to enforce existing law. Immigration officials visit work sites, check for documentation, and make it worthwhile for employers to make sure they are not hiring illegals (in accordance with existing law). They will then deport themselves back the same way they imported themselves. That is just a start.

This idea dramatically put forth by Kasich to invade homes is a bogus issue designed to evoke an emotional response because he has no argument to support his views.

So, according to you, that means we have to just sit back and let these millions of invaders bankrupt our country because it’s the law.

So we want to round up all the illegals and ship them home because they broke our laws. And your solution is to break the law in order to accomplish that. Makes perfect sense to me.

Back in the early 70's there was a building boom on Cape Cod.

After a while, Canadian framing crews started to show up illegally and were underbidding Americans for jobs.

Someone dropped a dime on them, raids ensued and the Canadians were deported.

Imagine that.

come on now, make it so they self “deport” by having punishment for formal deportation severe and self deporting gives them a chance to reenter legally...

carrot and stick.

currently 94 to 97% of criminals do not go to trial but plea bargain

most illegal aliens opt for voluntary return in lieu of formal deportation. once formally deported there are restrictions on returning legally or illegally. All we have to do is take away entitlements for illegals and many will leave, the rest if formally deported cannot apply for legal status but if they leave voluntarily can apply...etc...

A delicate point here is when do we stop talking about crime here and start talking about war (responding to acts of war, frankly)?

The Constitution says that Uncle Sam should be protecting the states against invasion, but if he fails, then the states have the right to step in and do it for themselves. Not ambiguous there, only lack of courage.

Why can’t Trump say exactly that? He should also mention his objective of reducing legal immigration back to historic levels. His position paper is fantastic yet he doesn’t use it to respond to these jerks like Kasich and Bush.

For the hundredth time, Trump is right on. Deport every illegal. Rip the gangs apart with weapons if necessary and send the body bags back across the border where they came from. Let Mexico sort out which Country the bags end up in. The rest of the illegals, cut off the welfare and jobs.

And no, by invasion we don’t mean those who came (or if came, stayed) under various programs that the Congress authorized. But that leaves PLENTY who didn’t.

It is quite likely that millions would start making preparations to move back home the morning after Trump is elected. It is also quite likely that millions more would waive rights to a hearing in return for a cash payment 90 days after they get home.

Of course, it isn't as simple as snapping your fingers, but neither is it as complicated as the GOPe makes out. Nobody asked ObaMao for specifics in his pledge to "fundamentally transform America." Trump is wise to just paint the big picture and leave out the details for now.

The applicable counter argument here is "What would happen if a substantial number of American taxpayers decided to quit filing their taxes? If a substantial part of our ruling class decides our immigration laws aren't worth enforcing anymore, why couldn't a substantial part of our tax paying class decide that taxes aren't worth paying any more?"

Attrition thru enforcement. Most will go home voluntarily once the job magnet is cut off and government benefits eliminated. Why the urgency for legalization? Do people realize that legalization will cost $6.3 trillion if there are only 12 million?

That is a reference that Trump should use. The full force of our military to get ONE little boy out....how much did that cost?

We already deport hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens annually. It is legal to do so.

You are spot on. This method is frankly our only hope for the republic. If they stay , they all vote democrat from here on in, , as in California and that’s why California is lost. At the very least, what you said makes sense. And I agree, it’s a straw dog argument.
