The letter is as follows:
November 14, 2015
The Honorable Barack Obama The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, D.C. 20500
Dear President Obama,
In the wake of another round of appalling terrorist attacks, I write to express great sadness at the events in Paris, as well as my grave concern about the unreported diffusion of Syrian refugees in the United States.
Last week, the city of New Orleans began receiving its first wave of Syrian refugees. As with former immigration crises and federal relocation policy, Louisiana has been kept in the dark about those seeking refuge in the state. It is irresponsible and severely disconcerting to place individuals, who may have ties to ISIS, in a state without the state's knowledge or involvement.
As Governor of Louisiana, I demand information about the Syrian refugees being placed in Louisiana in hopes that the night of horror in Paris is not duplicated here. In the wake of these atrocities, I also ask for details on the below:
What level of background screening was conducted prior to entry in the United States? In light of the fact that some of those responsible for last night's attacks held Syrian passports, what additional protections and screenings will be put in place?
Will all Syrian refugees seeking relocation in the United States now be cleared by the Terrorist Screening Center? What degree of monitoring will be sustained after initial placement in Louisiana?
As Americans, we embolden freedom and opportunity to the rest of the world, but by opening up our borders and refusing to collaborate or share information with states, you are threatening that reality.
Mr. President, in light of these attacks on Paris and reports that one of the attackers was a refugee from Syria, it would be prudent to pause the process of refugees coming to the United States. Authorities need to investigate what happened in Europe before this problem comes to the United States.
Sincerely, Governor Bobby Jindal
If he’d done this before Paris he’d be a hero.
What the hell is wrong with these Governors? Why are you letting them in your State? You’ve waited a little late to try to find out about their background now. If one single American is killed because of an immigrant/terrorist you, Jindal will be just as responsible as Obama!
“Kabuki theater Act II Scene I: Jindal demands answers.”
That’s how I see it, too.
Jindal, get the Guard out and round them up and send them to the White House. Open the bus and leave them there.
I would like to see that happen...but it won’t.
If it did the Feds and the Supreme Court would step in.
Kind of late to demand answers once they have come in .
Why did he allow them to come to his state to begin with?
Let them try this in Arizona..you’ll see what happens. Let them bring them to my County where I am a County Supervisor.

I suspect the Governors get some sort of political payback.
In this case: Where are the Syrians going to be housed? Is the owner of the Syrian housing a friend or political contributor to Jindal and the Republicans? Most likely reason the governors are allowing the Syrians into their state is the Federal money that comes with the Syrians. Politicians are whores.
The answers to Bobby’s questions are either “none” or “no”.
He is the Governor.
If he has balls, that is what he should do.
He needs to watch Cool Hand Luke
You’re the governor of Louisiana, Bobby. DO something about it! Who gives a shit what the feds want, they are NOT in charge of Louisiana, or any other state for that matter.
I knew it. When the rubber hits the road, these Republican presidential wanna-bes fold like cheap suits. If I was Governor, these “refugees” would have been met by the LA Guard and by armed citizens.
Don’t you ever talk that way to me. (pause, then hitting him) NEVER! NEVER! (Luke rolls down hill; to other prisoners) What we’ve got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can’t reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don’t like it any more than you men.

Am really thinking about a swamp that has no escape.
Jindahl not having the balls to say NO! Tells us all we need to know about him.
Forget demanding information. If Jindal shut Louisianas proverbial doors, his poll numbers would skyrocket.
They are arriving in “boats”? What sort of boats?
I agree. Jindal should have said, “when you answer my questions, then I will consider opening the doors”.
Cruz/Jindal
