You can’t expect better from one who is so obviously compromised. However, he better fear a theocracy, but not one by American Christians, one by the King of kings and Lord of lords. The other short term one he needs to fear is an Islamic Caliphate. Liberals get their heads cut off almost as fast as Christians and Jews in one of those. I and others have posted many times, unrighteous makes one stupid. When you reject God’s truth you lose all basis for discernment of what is evil and what is good. Look at our current president - our nation voted him in twice! That tells you all you need to know about where America is at currently when it comes to discernment. And the nuke deal with Iran? Our current crop of leaders mean it for evil - both Dims and Repulsians, but where are we the people? The number of citizens that really get it is getting a lot smaller. If by a miracle Cruz were to win this next election, every liberal in America would be attacking him 24/7/365. Then, as opposed to now, every law that restricted the power of the executive branch would shift into hyper drive (I’m not opposed, just making a contrast) and his kindergarten teacher would be interviewed in an effort to find dirt on him. Such is the world of progressive dreams and it leads to the same place as the one for good intentions.

I have trouble with reporters trying to report on Christians, as they DESPISE them all.

Kind of like asking Nazi guards to what they think of social skills of young, Jewish, girls - you’re not really going to get an accurate answer.

If it is single minded, that’s a lie...they were trying to survive

But of course they wanted to convert them, that is what their calling is...killing not so much

we will see how honest it is

I noticed the dominionism mention too. As far as I can tell, dominionism exists mainly in the minds of leftists. I literally know of zero Christians who call themselves dominionists. But leftists routinely cite dominionism as if it’s some big thing.

“Think of the message the children heard: It’s good to help Christians, but to hell with everyone else. And people wonder how the seeds of bigotry are planted?”

That’s not what Cruz is saying you lying dirtbag.

Yup. If Trump stays on top the whole way and gets the nod, he’d be very wise to team up with Cruz. They’d make an unbeatable team both during the election and in the White House. Working together and with a Republican congress, they could very well start rolling back some of the unconstitutional crap and make America great again. And then Cruz would be in the catbird seat for the presidency eight years later.

I would rather have Cruz at the top of the ballot, but I could live with this :-)

Reading this article it is apparent how utterly unfamiliar the left is with ordinary Americans.

They've even developed a language, or at least a dialect, all their own.

I can't get more than a few sentences into a lefty article without checking the source so close to parody they all seem.

Isn't that something?!

This is the stuff being spoon-fed to America's "kids."

It's no wonder that 40% of millennials want the government to be able to restrict 'offensive' speech

".....How worrisome is this trend among the youngest Americans? You would think that as someone ages and takes on the responsibilities of adulthood, they would recognize the virtues of the First Amendment and alter their attitudes toward restricting it. But surveys have found that by age 25, one's politics are pretty much set in stone.

I fear that unless there is a backlash against illiberal education, we're less than a couple of generations from seeing the end of Constitutional freedoms in America. The rot that infests the educational system must be removed or all that Americans have fought and died will become a distant memory."

LOL I wish them lots of luck because he clearly doesn't fear the media for good reason. If there were any dirt to be found, the GOPe themselves would have used it. As far as restricting the power of the executive branch is concerned, Ted Cruz will beat them to the punch because he is a constitutionalist conservative.

I say bring it on.

Sounds like this writer needs to find a “safe zone”. He seems to be a part of the “only my opinion counts and don’t dispute me” world of spoiled brats.

I recall an article describing the Bush-Cheney partnership as king and prime minister. The official duties are few so the president has some latitude as to how he may want to use his veep. So, YES, a vice president Cruz could be something different.

Yep. He hates even when there is no apparent reason.

Example: “the WRONG side of middle age”

Could have said the far side or or just mentioned seniors or many other choices of words if he felt that age was a factor to be mentioned.

It places Obama in the out-group...half of his audience doesn't know what communism is, only that it is evil. And certainly out-group. All under the "innocent" guise of laughter.

And liberals would neeeeeever use tactics like that against conservatives, nosiree. Just aren't even capable of it. :)

I agree... Mr. Cruz is already an United States Senator, one of the most powerful 101 individuals in the country. We love him in Texas and he would be stupid to step down in order to play only a tie-breaker role in the Senate.

If this author was looking to do anything other than cause us to cheer, then it was a complete failure.

Taken in the context of where Christians are and where they are going, this was just outstanding news. As it relates to St Raphael of TPA, not so much. In the grand scheme, he’s just a bit player.

What will be of lasting consequence is a younger generation of Christians who are growing and prospering outside caesar’s direct control and who are very skeptical of caesar and his ways.

Thanks for posting a very optimistic and happy article.
