Florida Congressman Alan Grayson told radio host Alan Colmes Wednesday that if Ted Cruz is elected president, he “will file that beautiful lawsuit saying that he's unqualified for the job” according to the Constitution.
Cruz was born in Canada to a native-born American mother, making the presidential candidate a dual Canadian-American citizen. It was not until a 2013 Dallas Morning News article that Cruz acknowledged his Canadian citizenry publicly. In 2014, the senator renounced his Canadian citizenship altogether.
Lamenting the “appalling choices” Republicans have to choose among, Grayson told Colmes the Republican race “resolved itself into this weird reality show.”
“It's not ‘The Biggest Loser’ that they're choosing, it's ‘The Biggest Bigot,'” Grayson said challenging Colmes to show him one candidate “who represents the exception here.” “In a sense, I guess, Cruz is not technically that way — because technically he's not even an America,” Grayson added.
“His mother was born here, so I guess like [President Barack] Obama,” Colmes replied adding, “it's interesting to me that the people who had a problem with Obama's birth certificate don't have a problem with Ted Cruz, who literally was born in another country and renounced his Canadian citizenry.”
“The Constitution says natural born Americans,” Grayson said. “So now we're counting Canadians as natural born Americans? How does that work?”
“I'm waiting for the moment that he gets the nomination and then I will file that beautiful lawsuit saying that he's unqualified for the job because he's in eligible,” he continued. “Call me crazy but I think the President of America should be an American.”

Grayson undoubtedly possesses the brains and mentality of a puffball.
This two bit jerk will not have ‘standing’.
Standing is given only to those that can demonstrate damages of some type. Normal voting citizens do not have Standing because they have a choice on the ballot and thus they can avoid damage by not voting for one in particular.
From the time this came up in 2008, Standing was given with regard to Congress having to approve the results of the Electoral College. Neither party wants to force anything per NBC, because they too want some future NBC questionable to not have to face the challenge, or in nobama’s case could face disqualification of everything he did and signed into law. Once NBC is ever brought to Court a precedent will be set which both sides must then adhere to.
I don’t think one Representative can challenge the Electoral College alone and must have others to join in.
If I am wrong on this someone who is more Constitutionally astute please correct.

Obama doesn’t have a real birth certificate. Cruz does.
Liberals are unable to show or even understand consistency.
Natural born citizen as the founders understood it and used it in the Constitution means born here of citizen parents.
Nobody wants it defined that way today for various reasons.
Obama is ineligible because his father was a Kenyan.
There is no proof he was born in Hawaii. No one has been able to examine any document. An image on the internet is proof of nothing.

The “birther” lawsuits vs. Obama were not because of his lack of qualifications but his lack of eligibility. Tho, ‘tis true he was poorly qualified. Alas, Grayson’s suit will meet the same fate in the courts as did the others.
