MSNBC, CNN Storming of Shooters’ Home Could Be ‘Major ****-Up’ by FBI, Ex-Cop Says
The Wrap ^ | December 5, 2015 | Jordan Chariton

Posted on 12/05/2015 11:24:41 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

“It reminded me of days in the Old West where there’d be a shooting and the whole town would go through and look,” former NYPD officer Bill Stanton tells TheWrap.

The FBI potentially dropped the ball by letting media ransack the home of the San Bernardino shooters just two days after the massacre.

“They [the FBI] totally scrubbed it from head to toe, or it’s a major **** up,” former NYPD police officer Bill Stanton told TheWrap about reporters from MSNBC, CNN and other outlets being allowed into the suspects’ home to comb through photos and documents.

Stanton, who worked for the NYPD and in private security for 25 years, said the combined strength and power of the U.S. government and law enforcement could have successfully stripped down the shooters’ home successfully in a day.

But it’s also possible the FBI erred by giving the all-clear signal to the landlord to allow media into the home too soon.

“It doesn’t make our services look efficient,” Stanton continued. “It reminded me of days in the Old West where there’d be a shooting and the whole town would go through and look.”

On Friday, the FBI defended what looked like a chaotic and shocking scene on TV, saying the home was no longer a crime scene and its owners were free to do what they wanted with the property.

“We did a very thorough search and took our time and completed it,” she said. “There are cases where we need to preserve a location, but that’s extremely rare,” Laura Eimiller, a spokeswoman for the FBI in Los Angeles, told Reuters.

As TheWrap reported, MSNBC came under heavy fire on social media for showing unblurred images of children and other potential family and friends of the shooters who may have had nothing to do with the grisly massacre.

Another former NYPD officer, Tom Ruskin, told TheWrap that the network’s decision was “irresponsible and disgusting,” suggesting those people showed on camera could be forced into hiding as a result of their images being broadcast publicly.

“They have potentially caused innocent people, people that may not be tied to this crime, the possibility of being harmed, and they have to go into hiding,” Ruskin said.

The network expressed regret for showing the images. “We regret that we briefly showed images of photographs and identification cards that should not have been aired without review,” a spokesperson said in a statement Friday.

What happened to the third shooter? The one reported on the run after the gun battle with the SUV. A figment?

It reeks of a Hillary style move, but why would she have wanted to destroy the crime scene?

I’m afraid you’re right.

The first thing I thought was the crime scene has been contaminated and it would make any evidence obtained later inadmissible in a court of law and the accomplices walk away and America gets slapped in the face again.

They can’t wait for us to start the shooting.

They’re pushing real hard.

It still bothers me that all of a sudden there is no third gunman.

This is contrary to early eyewitness reports and police scanner messages.

It immediately reminded me of OK City bombing—where there were two suspects in the Ryder truck and the FBI produced sketches of both of them—one looked like McVeigh; the other one looked like Jose Padilla who was picked up years later.

Then, presto, chango—no second suspect.

And NO video from surrounding buildings was ever released—all confiscated by the FBI. Those videos might have told a different story.

And lots of people involved in the investigation started dying off.

Remember TWA 800 in July 1996—200 people, including military vets were told they didn’t see what they obviously saw—a missile heading toward TWA 800. Clinton was up for re-election in three months—couldn’t have a terrorist act on US soil. Later in August of that year, the FBI sent up Richard Jewell for the Atlanta Olympics bombing and ruined his life—until he was cleared.

Now we are told there is no third gunman—I guess people getting shot don’t know how to count.

Not only that, we had the name of the prime suspect at 3:05 pm EST on the scanners, and one cop asking another—wasn’t this the guy we were looking at last week? Huh?

Where are the videos from the buildings—I want to see them—then we will know how many were involved.

Then the absolute deliberate contamination of a crime scene—someone NONE of us have ever seen in our lifetimes—14 people dead and the FBI sweeps in ONE day —without fingerprint dust. My rear end!

And let’s not forget Lynch demanding that Comey wait until she was in the room next to him before Friday afternoon’s presser—boy did he look unwell, like he was under pressure to watch what he was saying—and Lynch was his minder—that was obvious.

And on Thursday morning, who appears on Fox News to discuss this incident—why, James Kallstrom. You remember him. He was the lead investigator of TWA 800—the man who said on Day One it was a missile, then on Day Two—it was not a missile. A year later he retires, and after a 35 year career as a gumshoe, he naturally gets a job in a field he certainly was qualified for—an investment banker. Can you say pay-off? I knew you could.

Oh yeah, I’ll believe anything he says.

Rmemeber the FBI said Farook was in contact with international terrorists, at the same time they were saying he had destroyed all of his digital footprint.

That is because they were watching him already. And there may be a high value informant in the cell, or an FBI agent.

And Farook got away from his minders and acted act before they could stop him.

Thus, the contamination of the crime scene. Let’s head off anything further.

The media lapdogs, including Fox, were used by the government to contaminate a crime scene.

They don’t even try to be sly anymore—they just lie in our face and dare us to speak out. And if we do—well, we just be prosecuted or face an IRS audit.

Thank God for Trump and his fearlessness in speaking out and saying what needs to be said.

This coming week, DC will have to hear from millions of us.

The status quo is not going to hold.

It's not like they have to worry about evidence being tainted at a trial. Both perps are dead.

The downside is any evidence of involvement with other conspirators that may have been present in the apartment is now lost or contaminated. I'm beginning to think this was a deliberate act on the part of the FBI because they want to preserve the fiction that this was (yet another) "isolated incident".

I just don't think he has that much disposable income left after living in CA.

It doesn't really cost all that much to fly economy on international flights. It is likely he had a place to stay when he got there. I am guessing his round trip flight and her one way trip came in at somewhere around $2K or so..

Good analysis.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if not only was the FBI tracking Farook, but that they were the ones who triggered him to execute the attack. Perhaps the FBI thought they could fool him into revealing other conspirators, but he got out of their control. It's like an islamist Fast and Furious; a total botch by the Feds... again.

There are all kinds of legal ramifications of what went down that day.

Innocent people should sue for having their pics exposed.

Heirs should sue- they will win- and then victims can sue the Estate for the money.

There is now no chain of evidence for anything left in that apartment. I firmly believe that this was not incompetence. This was an intentional stand down order from high above. There is absolutely no excuse that makes sense to back them up if they say they didn’t need to dust for fingerprints.

I am waiting for pics of the bomb making facility to see if they even dusted that place for prints.

There is a good chance that the FBI intentionally allowed CNN to destroy the crime scene and CNN intentionally destroyed evidence in return for being allowed access and getting the story

No, but you want fingerprints of the mysterious dudes who were streaming in and out of the place.

And Obama made sure evidence is stolen or destroyed or tainted so that any terrorists who worked with the couple cannot be identified. It really is clever in a devious way. If you wanted to protect the terrorists, one way would be to try and “sanitize” the house of all evidence. Remove finger prints, take away any document or item that could provide evidence, etc. But that would be difficult and obvious. So Obama did the next best thing. He had the site “dirtied” instead of “sanitized.” Let hundreds of people rummage through and take or destroy things and touch and disturb everything multiple times. Have many finger prints of many visitors to obscure the fingerprints of any accomplices. The administration knows exactly what it is doing.

The FBI has a long history of infiltrating domestic political cells (usually leftist) and encouraging bad behavior.

If I had to guess, I think they infiltrated this group and it blew up on them.

BS on the bigfeets hoovering everything up at that location. In high profile crimes the site is secured pending analysis of the raw data obtained in the first search. Such may reveal the need for a more concerted effort in certain areas.

Simple drug raids result in near tear downs of walls floor boards, etc in the search for hidey holes. None of that is apparent from the videos.

Would be damned interesting to see the original evidence log. Wouldn't be surprised to see a “nothing to see here, move along” accounting.

Be curious to learn what standing digital image video have as evidence absent the physical. Then again a Federal judge can damn well do what he wants regarding admissibility.

They lifted every fingerprint of every individual who visited that apartment? How very efficient of them.

One could wish for a little improvement in attack-prevention efficiency.

Less focus on stings targeting dumb blow-hards, and more focus on those smart enough to keep it in the family, or go solo.

The Keystone Cops were in that room 3 days before they had to admit it was terrorism. Of course the Koran and prayer rugs were just a coincidence.

Pray America wakes

The three-am raid, with lights, sirens, loudspeakers, battering rams and broken windows WAS the punishment. I’m sure it came down from Obama. They didn’t even arrest anybody. This was “extra-judicial punishment.” Totally banana republic.
