I doubt Trump would be insane enough to absolutely obliterate his reputation and respect solely to help that effin’ b*tch get the White House. Plus if he did run as an independent, he could very well win! Who are the RINOs going to run, Jeb!? He would obliterate Jeb in an election or that little treasonous dckweed Rubio? Trump would eat him alive. Hillary, forget it. She doesn’t have a bugs breath in hell surviving him in a debate.

Trump is gonna take it, regardless of what party he runs. It does not matter anymore anyway, as they are the same bloodsucking leeches, and deserve to be flushed into the cesspool to decay and rot.

Donald Trump is the only reason I haven't gone third party. He's my last shot.

My support of Cruz comes and goes like the tides. He'll say something that makes me shake my head. Then he'll do something like that climate change hearing yesterday that makes me shake my fist and say, "YES!!!"

Cruz and Trump are of a kind in that they are not of the Tribe. They have intellectual integrity. The Tribe has become a mob...and if someone doesn't understand the notion of 'dhimmitude' I give you the GOPee.

“But if he runs as an independent, no one will ever convince me otherwise that this wasn’t the plan all along to put Hillary in the White House. “

Hillary’s going to get into the White House anyway if the GOP candidate isn’t Trump or Cruz. The GOPe loss would be like their loss with McCain and Romney, only on steroids.

The GOP rank and file are done with voting for the “lesser evil”. As our country goes down the tubes, let’s give the credit to a lying, corrupt traitor hag, rather then some numbnuts Marxist-light GOPer.

“And probably destroy the GOP as a viable party.”

And it’s about damn time, too! The GOP NEEDS destroying as a viable party since all they offer us is McCain, Romney, a passel of Bushes, and a boatload of Congressional critters of the same ilk. They’re nothing but a bunch of lightweight “Progressives”.

“Why would TRUMP leave the Republican Party if he is on TOP the POLLS?”

He won’t. He’s just trying to keep the GOPe all shook up, you know, so they don’t know whether to poop or wind their watch.

Sorry, Donny, but that wouldn’t be near enough to win you the election. All it would do is to hand the election to Mrs. Clinton.

Say, you sound like that Jeb fellow.

Besides....just because Chas Henrickson says it, doesn’t make it true. You’ve overlooked the votes that will come in, from those NOT currently supporting Trump. Those that are sick and tired of the manufactured invasion going on.

We can both speculate.

Nothing sad about it. This has been the truth for a long time, but has only now been openly admitted - the GOP stopped being the opposition party to the D’s for probably the last 20 years, perhaps since Reagan retired.

This is why the GOP has such a visceral reaction to the base pining for another Reagan. The GOP, in my opinion, say Reagan as an error on their part. Reagan was supposed to be a vacuous actor/amiable dunce and turned on to be a great manager and a shrewd judge of people and staff. He also turned out to be a master communicator, and had some dynamite speechwriters.

That he defeated the Soviets without firing a shot is probably the most astounding military victory in the history of warfare. I grew up in that era, and the conventional wisdom was either we were all going do die, or we would always be in some form of low intensity war with the Soviets.

Nobody in 1979 could have predicted the outcome. As time goes on, Obama’s treatment by history will include the astounding squandering of that victory over the Soviets.

Agreed. I think that is startling actually. Simply because he’s not running as a Republican, he manages to lose 32% of his support. That’s a big red flag.

Yes, but we here are not the people that will hand Trump victory if he runs as an independent. We're the 20% of the vote he'd get. He's going to need to double that, likely.

Trump will win the independents, Reagan Democrats, many millenials, many blacks, and many hispanics. He'll get more than enough.

Id rather see Hillary win than Jeb.

What gives you the idea that Bush is likely to win the nomination ahead of Rubio, Cruz, or even Christie?

Odds are the shtf would happen sooner.

So you're rooting for hell on earth. Great.

“Not only that, if Trump is not on the ticket, I’m writing him in.”

Ditto. And I will try to start a national protest movement to write TRUMP in for ALL offices on the ballot, national, state and local! That way the protest vote will be easily counted.

Unless the Republican nominee is pro-abort or pro-homo “marriage,” I will vote for the Republican for President. Whoever that is, he is sure to be better than the Democrat. There is no way I would vote for the shoot-from-the-lip loudmouth Trump if he were to run as an independent. Heck, I would have a hard enough time voting for him if he were somehow to become the Republican nominee.

Thank you for the obvious and concise answer.
