Mark Levin sounded pretty angry with Donald Trump tonight for some "stupid" blunders, including his trashing of Ted Cruz as a "maniac."
Levin is a big fan of Cruz and loves how passionately he takes on the establishment, and so naturally he was more than a little dismayed to see Trump--who Levin said should be on the same side as Cruz on this--falling for the liberal media trap.
As a reminder, yesterday on Fox News Sunday, Trump said that Cruz won't be able to get anything done as president because "you can't walk into the Senate and scream and call people liars and not be able to cajole and get along with people."
Levin scolded Trump for criticizing Justice Antonin Scalia on affirmative action and said it's beyond the pale for Trump to be personally going after Cruz like this. He cried, "Why raise a stupid issue?!"
Listen to the audio at the link.
Levin argued that the real maniacs are in the establishment and when he played a clip of Trump going on a tangent about his "phenomenal business," Levin stopped the audio and pretty angrily said he needs to stick to the issues. "You, of all people," he said, "should get it! But instead you went for the cheap shot."
He lamented how Trump now appears to be taking the side of the GOP establishment.
Listen above, via The Mark Levin Show.
Levin is an unhinged kook. He lost me tonight for ever!! He is really a maniac. I think he needs professional help. Listen to that jack ass. !! He is NUTS!! very sick.
What kind of maniac grabs one word out of context and pumps it ad nauseum?
Only one candidate can win.
Cruz fired the first shot behind closed doors like a coward.
Maybe he should explain his defense of amnesty to illegals:

Yes he’s a maniac.
“Mark Levin sounded pretty angry”
Trump is the real maniac in this race.
But, being maniacal in the defense of liberty is no vice.
The point wasn’t that Ted couldn’t deal with Democrats in the Senate. The point is, he can’t actually form a coalition with the Republicans either.
Leadership? LOL
I would rather that Trump didn’t take this route, but Levin is whizzing up wind when he tries to say Trump’s comment was totally unfounded.
He is my favorite. And I mean that. He is the most intellectual constitutional scholar out there. Nobody is as grounded as Levin with regards to the founding of this nation, the intent of our founders and the reason for every letter of the constitution. His understanding of the history of this nation and the world is second to none. You could learn a lot from him. And I'm glad he's angry. It comforts me to know someone else out there is as upset as I am. I'm sure your support for Trump has influenced your opinion of Mark.
I appreciate that Jim. I agree.
Ohhhhh the nasty Trumpster called me a maniac!
How about Cruz coolly explaining why he isn’t one (assuming that’s the case), without getting all hot and bothered?
Cruz is going to have to roll with the political roughhousing if he’s going to have any credibility.
Interesting way to put it.
Wacko Bird Maniacs ? Of course...
We are crazy about the US Constitution.
Since Levin is mad at Trump, I hope Cruz wins.
(Go nuts!)
He might have all the book learning in the world and yet if he is only an insufferable nerd... that’s just going to go nowhere fast.
HA!
Levin...Levin...wasn’t he the one that was leaving the republican party? Must have changed his mind.
Today would be a Levin for the record books. As a two-fer with Rush going after Trump, it will definitely be a day to remember.
Can’t read that.
There’s something even more important, I daresay.
And that’s God’s blessing.
Remember this Constitution is the one that started out with a nod to chattel slavery. Not an auspicious start.
God could live with Constitutional compromises a lot better than a Constitution could live with God compromises.
