I just wonder how many Germans and other Euro countries being flooded by raping murdering scum are reading articles like this, just seething with jealousy knowing our women can go out and buy any gun they want and protect themselves.

I just love it when lefties realize the demise they have created for themselves. All those sheeple can do is run to one corner of the fence and wait to be slaughtered.

And the person promoting the slaughter is Time magazines favorite. But then again so was Hitler.

“Let me guess: a 38 special Ruger LCR. Looks beautiful under any Christmas tree. And don’t forget to include a brick of .38SP ammo to make the gift complete. Include a laser to make the shooter more confident.”

After having bad luck with a Kahr .380, my wife settled on the LCR. She likes it because her arthritis makes cycling the slide on an semi difficult. And unlike the crappy Kahr, this one goes bang every time you pull the trigger, whereas the Kahr wouldn’t run a full mag even after going back to the factory.

My wife said she wanted a new carry piece for her birthday -- and said she wanted to select it for herself.

Took her to a big dealer, and after handling all the .380s and the Ruger LC9, she handled the S&W 9mm M&P Shield, checked its sight picture -- and announced, "That's it!"

She left the store with a boxed Shield under her arm, singing, "Happy Birthday to meeee..." '-)

It is positively sickening to see how practically every discussion, debate, argument or statement today is always made with some sort of BS survey or statistical point made as a prerequisite for a lame attempt to scientistically legitimize the position being proffered. It is time for us all to refute this marxist-driven (that is, dialectical materialistic) propaganda technique as fundamentally dishonest and renders any such discussion based on this type of mendacity as without merit at the root, therefore unworthy of consideration.

Women have a clear choice to either protect themselves or be raped by Obama black lives matter supporters, liberals, or illegal immigrants. The logic thinking women will choose wisely.

I’d like to pick up a .38 LCR too. My only revolver right now is a little NAA .22LR and Magnum.

I’m surprised to hear you say the Kahr didn’t work well though. Just about every report on the forums or reviews have been positive about the entire line of Kahrs. Of course there’s bound to be a lemon once in a while.

You don’t suppose she was limp wristing it do you? Did it malfunction when you shot it too?

There are two subcompact, low cost, semi-autos I’d recommend to someone. The Diamondback 9 or .380. The 9 is really too snappy and will actually hurt a bit to shoot so I recomend wearing a glove on the shooting had when practicing. No need for a glove when the actual chit hits the fan. Too many other things to concern oneself with.

The other is the SCCY CPX2 pronounced “Sky”. It’s a bit larger than the DB9 but is much softer shooting. Both of these are excellent concealed carry low cost firearms that I have personally found to be reliable.

I’m also a big fan of the CZ handguns and the CZ clones like the Sar’s, Canik’s, and Tristar’s but they are larger more open carry or home defense pistols. Very very reliable though. They also work well for a truck or car handgun.

Here’s a nice list put together by the Wash Times with pictures. I’d really like to have the Tavor but it’s currently out of my price range.

Agreed. Always have to toss in the anti gun screed about mass shootings 75 times a day and the 1050% increase in accidental home shootings. Despite those being flat out lies. #factsdontmatter

Merry Christmas DrPretorius.

Excellent! Congrats to your daughter! Mine is just a bit younger; she’s shot guns since she was little, but pretty much only with her mother and I. She doesn’t have an interest in carrying for herself. Yet.

“You don’t suppose she was limp wristing it do you? Did it malfunction when you shot it too?”

No, because it did it with everyone who shot it. Plus my wife has a Sig 238 and with her, it runs 100%.
Actually we both have Sig 238’s and Glock 42’s. We both prefer the Sigs, although the Glocks are rock solid, they are not of the quality of the Sigs, but then they are about half the price. If money isn’t a problem I would always buy a Sig. The Sigs are mini-1911’s and the Glock’s are striker fired, so one needs to deside which you are going to use because of the differences.

Same here with the Kahr 380 I bought new 3 months ago. After 300 rounds of diverse ammo the number of successful full mag completions could be counted on one hand. Sent to factory this week. My Kahr CM9 has fired over 1k rounds with not one failure. I’m looking at the Remington Rohrbach clone, the RM 380.

What makes me angry is the image of the ‘helpless woman’ is actually quite new.

Several generations ago I had a great, great, great grandmother who was attacked and scalped by Indians. She was alone with the kids at the time. She managed to fight them off on her own. She lived, healed, and eventually had my great grandfather (who went on to marry an Indian... so no hard feelings). My great grandmother (the half Indian) was known as ‘The Terror of Chippewah County’ and she’d throw down with anyone. As the mother of seven sons - with a husband who was gone half the time for work - she had to be tough.

And she did it all in a skirt.

Women have *always* picked up arms when the men were gone. We will protect ourselves and our children to the best of our ability. We might not have won, but we’ve fought.

Feminists insult these great women and demean them as sheltered, stupid, helpless cowards, when the reality is that women have been brave forever.

Feminists are so freaking sexist.

And yes. I pack a gun and so does my daughter.

The other day I was headed to the range for some practice. As is often the case, I ask my wife of 45 years if she wants to come along. Well, after all these years I know the answer because she never has wanted to shoot even though she likes me being able to do so. She has always said she is scared of handling guns.

But this time, she said, "Yes, it's time!"...

Wow, that was a genuine shocker! After some table top instruction on basic handling, safety, and various "how to" mechanics, off we went.

At the range, it was her turn to be shocked. She really enjoyed it and was quite good at it after she finally got the hang of it!

Two days later, I wanted to head to the local gun store and check something out I was looking for and asked her if she wanted to go along. The answer is always, "No!". We always joke that it is like her asking me if I want to go along when she looks for shoes?

But not this time. She wanted to go along and maybe even look at some pistols. My selection in the safe is not really her cup of tea because she has some physical limitations I don't need to deal with.

Well, lo and behold, we got to the store and she was looking at all the offerings and found one she really liked and could easily handle. I said maybe we should talk and think about it a bit ( I don't usually make quick decisions on these matters). She said, Well then, why don't you just buy it for me for Christmas now?"

Well, what can one say to an request like that!?

Needless to say, Santa was very good to her this year. We will head out next week for some further instruction and practice.

Don't you just love a wonderful Christmas story?

All women activists on this issue at some point are harassed,” she said. “They try to publish your phone number and addresses,” she said of gun-control opponents.

As with attempts to publish the names of gun owners?
