If you’re a person in the USA, you probably get ads in the mail all the time from gun and outdoor stores advertising firearms, especially during November and December, or whenever Obama says anything about more gun laws. Sometimes these ads come in the Wednesday flyer pile in the newspaper, as was the case this week when a Cabela’s ad featuring an AR 15 was circulated in the Oregonian ads.
Most people either chuck the ad or save it and head to whatever gun shop it is. Unless you’re Willamette Week author Coby Hutzler or reader Doug Menely, then you get all butthurt and write an article in Oregon’s second largest paper complaining about it, talking about how the ad is insensitive, and you even seek comments from Cabela’s and the advertising firm (which I’m sure are still laughing about).

Alert WW reader Doug Menely spotted the ad in his home edition of the (Oregonian) newspaper.
“I personally found this ad totally insensitive to what happened in Roseburg, Southern California and every place that has had mass shootings,†Menely writes. “This weapon that is displayed is clearly not a hunting rifle.â€
Whether the M&P15 is a hunting rifle is a matter of some debate. But the gun was used by killers in two recent mass shootings.
The ad arrives less than a month after the Dec. 2 mass shooting in San Bernardino, where a married couple, allegedly dedicated to radical Islamic beliefs, used an M&P15 and other weapons to kill 14 people and wound 21 others.

Cabela's commented that their analysts calculated a 13.5% increase in store traffic and an additional fifty seven AR platforms sold due to the ad.

The woeful, dare I say, willful, ignorance of the left on the purpose of the 2nd amendment continues to amaze. I have started to use the argument with them as follows...what if Ted Cruz won and made it a law to marry same sex and made abortions illegal and used a database against all who have done those things...and what if house and Senate went along with him...when Cruz’s people came with AR-15 weapons to take you out of your house to go to their secret prisons wouldn’t you want to combat them with your own equivalent weaponry?.
It really makes them think. Sad, too, they think this scenario is real and they think too it is how laws are made. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Give something like this a try...I’ve seen it work.
BTW, I have talked my bro-in-law to go to the range with me today...he’s never shot and perhaps I can correct one los angelos liberal!

Horrors! Running Christmas ads containing tools to protect ones family! Doesn’t Cabelas realize that it is unAmerican to actually defend oneself and loved ones?
These two little pajama bois can go throw themselves on to their beds amidst their Cabbage Patch dolls and sob hysterically into their pillows.

No kidding! I've priced comparable ARs at Gander Mountain and they're at least $250 - 300 more. Even the ammo is cheap at $6.29 a box.
Mind you, this is not for me. It's for my gun-loving friends. For Christmas. I don't believe in guns. Really.

Countless people continued driving even as there were dead and wounded lying all over and to make matters worse, the next morning came and to my horror there were Car adds in the morning newspaper of every make and model.
These killing machine adds were everywhere, it was sickening.
