Looks like a trial balloon the Left and the GOPe are trying out. It goes something like this:

‘Guys, we no longer look down on you for supporting Trump. In fact, we get it. You’ve been mistreated, and Trump is just voicing your anger. We feel your pain. Now will you give up this silliness and support a serious candidate like Jeb or Marco?”

Yes, enjoying the approval of Vladimir Putin, murderer or journalists and war criminal in the Ukraine is certainly a brilliant and highly intelligent action.

Oh really? Seems to me both Roosevelt and Churchill got along with Stalin very well....as long as it was necessary.
I remember Reagan and Gorby as well..........how did that end up? The wall came down.
Trump would know how to handle Putin, which obviously our current administration as well as most of the rest of Washington doesn’t. There are some people including you who will continue to insist on cutting off their noses to spite their faces.

WHERE in the quote from Trump’s book do you find the word “FEDERAL?” Yet you insert the word Federal in your ill conceived argument.

Ummmm, Trump is not running for local government!

Trump has stated repeatedly that local governments should be in charge of a lot of things now done by the feds. BUT that is beside the point.
You chose to insert a word into a direct quote in order to support your faulty argument. That is a technique used repeatedly by the liberals. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Leaked tape from the University of Pennsylvania

On April 25, 2013, The American Spectator, a conservative news outlet, published a scathing article about Luntz entitled “The Problematic Frank Luntz’s Stockholm Syndrome”.

In fact, what Luntz has done is simply reveal the kind of thinking that goes on in the minds of too many on the right who, whether they realize it or not, have been intellectually and culturally bullied that there is some sort of ‘right way’—’right’ as in ‘correct’—to think. Resulting in some conservatives who suffer from what might be called a political version of Stockholm Syndrome—where the captives identify with their captors.[37]

The article was a response to an April 22, 2013 leaked recording of Luntz at the University of Pennsylvania, where he said conservative radio personalities (specifically Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin) were being “problematic” and “destroying” Republicans’ ability to connect with more voters, or even maintain a majority in the House of Representatives in the 2014 mid-term elections.[38]

As part of his critique Luntz said:

And they get great ratings, and they drive the message, and it’s really problematic. And this is not on the Democratic side. It’s only on the Republican side... [Democrats have] got every other source of news on their side. And so that is a lot of what’s driving it. If you take—Marco Rubio’s getting his ass kicked. Who’s my Rubio fan here? We talked about it. He’s getting destroyed! By Mark Levin, by Rush Limbaugh, and a few others. He’s trying to find a legitimate, long-term effective solution to immigration that isn’t the traditional Republican approach, and talk radio is killing him. That’s what’s causing this thing underneath. And too many politicians in Washington are playing coy.[39]

California stands a very good chance of going Republican for the first time since Reagan. LINK

Mollypitcher1,

You need not stoop to personal attack. I did not attack you.

I am NOT a liberal. I am NOT a troll. I care about our countries future as you obviously do.

To the issue: I asked for information on Donald Trump’s comments on “limited government”.

You quoted statements that I said referred to local and state government. The US Constitution does not address limits to local government.

Trump is not running for a local or state position so I concluded that your quotes did not answer my question about limited government.

Donald Trump’s candidacy is the worst thing ever for the Republican party

IT'S DAMN TIME!

Run that GOPe into the ground like a rented mule, kill it.

Glad you see it happening too!

A campaign fueled by bile will cause America to rot from within. Can you imagine Ronald Reagan expressing Trump’s attitudes? No, of course you can’t.
Can you imagine Reagan calling an enemy “evil?” Trump has not done that - yet.

When Reagan announced, he came out in favor of NAFTA. But you could tell he was not unambiguous about it.

The admins deleted it once for whatever reason, so I'm not even going to try again. See post 93 on this thread for the link.

And you are a total nincompoop for supporting someone that voted for Obama, has supported abortion rights, come out in favor of single payer healthcare, and said Hillary Clinton would make a “great President.”

I win.

You can go fly a kite! You will never wake up until you realize what are the MAJOR issues in this election.1. IT’S THE ECONOMY and 2. IT’S ILLEGAL ALIENS AND 3.IT’S NATIONAL SECURITY! Cruz is on the wrong side or no side in these issues. He can shout at the wind but he is not equipped to handle BIG issues. Rump is the ONLY one with the skill set to get this country back on track economically and the rest will follow.
