No mention of layoffs or jobs lost in the article.
I other words, it’s a beautiful day outside if you don’t
take into account is raining and it’s 9:00 at night.
I wonder how many of these “jobs” are multiple part-time positions, how many are minimum wage, how many are temporary seasonal, how many went to foreigners including illegals, and how many are a complete accounting fiction. I’d guess few pay well employing US citizens.
Some folks think that a job is something that can be put in a box and either shipped over seas or locked in some bank vault. Real life is that a job is when one guy pays someone else to do something, and if the gov't keeps raising taxes (like Trump's 45% tax hike) then we're going to see employers w/ even less money for hiring.
bump
Well, and how many are second jobs, held by people already working fulltime or nearly fulltime?
Agreed.
Is there ever a chart showing government created jobs versus private sector? I mean, the government just increased spending by a few trillion dollars, and how many “jobs” did that create?
In the nonfarm payroll survey, the actual nonseasonally adjusted number was +11,000, and this was seasonally adjusted to +292,000. And two thirds of this adjustment was in the construction sector. In the household survey, it was -63,000 nonseasonally adjusted, which was adjusted to +485000.
Oh. Sounds like we’re doing great then. :0(
Then add in the over 350,000 temp UPS, FedX and formerly laid off postal workers to deliver the Christmas packages bought on line.
How many workers lost their 40 hour work week due to Obama Care and are now working at two jobs? Many of those were probably counted as two new jobs or at minimum 1 new job.
This report doesn’t tell about new hires..it tells about the net change in jobs. The unadjusted net change was +11,000. But because jobs usually go DOWN in December, then once you eliminate the normal seasonal variation, that makes the change +292,000
Similarly, back in October, the +1,160,000 new jobs were seasonally adjusted down to +307,000
Actually, that happens in October. Jobs and employment almost always go down in December.
It’s almost like citizens bought more stuff toward the end of the year... What could possibly cause that? It’s a mystery alright...
Thanks Grampa Dave.
Very true.
I just got through with the daily Cruz stuff, he wants to leave 1 seat at the STOU open in honor of the millions of aborted babies. I think he should leave 2 open the second for our MIA and KIA with the proper settings.
It’s hard to find people who will work at those low end jobs now that the illegals have taken them over. We had 2 trees removed this summer while the man who ran the operation was American the workers were not all American.
Waiting on him to get back with us to repair a retaining wall that has gone bad due to rain water run off. It effects 3 houses in a row on our street. No one shows up on time.
Eldest manages a Papa John’s he’d fire lazy late workers. And he drug tests. The other makes steel cabinets for various uses.
Thanks for your clear reply about the annual Christmas temp hiring.
It seems like the rats forget that we have brains, good memories and can use the internet to destroy their bs like this surge of hiring during the holidays.
