BREAKING: Defense Secretary Slips Up, Reveals Obama Admin LED IRAN Straight to Our Sailors

BREAKING: Defense Secretary Slips Up, Reveals Obama Admin LED IRAN Straight to Our Sailors First came the fact that President Barack Obama refused to address the arrest of 10 of our sailors by the Iranian military after their boats had mechanical trouble at sea. Then came news that the Obama administration had offered the Iranians an apology for the release of the sailors.

Now comes the disturbing revelation, apparently delivered by Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, that the Obama administration tipped off the Iranians that our soldiers were lost at sea and requested their aid. The news came from Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, during an interview on TheBlaze’s Dana Loesch shortly after Iran’s arrest of the sailors had come to light.

“I understand that (Secretary of State) John Kerry has indicated, look, when he got word, he and Ash Carter called the Iranians to help take care of our Navy guys, because they had some mechanical problems,” Gohmert said.

More Bullshite. Are you trying to tell me our navy can’t find their own patrol boats in the Persian gulf, that all coms on both boats failed, no one had a compass, and as a last ditch there are no EPERBs on these crafts. My BS meter is wound. If that is the case just bring all our sailors home and park their vessels because it’s over.

Well, got a better one that explains the many oddities of this story?

Yeah. Iranian hegemony perfectly timed to upstage, (? Highlight), Mr. Barack Hussein Obama's last SOU. And all that entails.

I don’t think that explains any of the oddities about the story.

But Obama does not directly contact individual units - it would have had to go through the Pentagon, Dept of the Navy, to the fleet command, to the unit or close to that chain. Anywhere along that chain the right to refuse an order is possible. Why not? An overflight was possible but not done ... why?

Something else had to be going on here or we may as well disband the Navy as a bunch of incompetents playing with too expensive toys and save the money.

ANY orders can be ignored. Don’t you understand that? Will there be consequences? Maybe. Maybe a fuck@Â¥g medal instead. Life and death. True capture by Republican Guard forces would not be something any sailor, soldier, airman or marine would acquiesce to. Ever. Unless.......

his was a clandestine transfer of something to the iranians. something sensitive that could not be handed over via the usual channels.

If this was indeed a "clandestine transfer of something", then why the armed seizure of our boats? Wouldn't the appropriate action be to just make the exchange and go on their separate ways, unknown to the rest of the world?

And if the US boat did indeed break down, wouldn't the proper action to insure this clandestine operation remained secret be to offer whatever mechanical assistance the US boat required and then send them on their way?

Instead we now have photos taken by the Iranians of an incident that could have caused an international conflict had our own boats, which appeared to be heavily armed, decided to repel the Iranian task force made up of Boston Whaler fishing boats........

I suspect the US boats were indeed in international waters while being tracked by Iranian radar. When their boat broke down, the second remained in attendance while they drifted into Iranian waters. It was at that time that the Iranians dispatched their mighty fleet of Boston Whaler fishing boats to confront and seize the US boats.

The US boats did not offer resistance since they were indeed in Iranian waters and any such military action on their part would have created an international incident.

Any foreign national military presence in our own waters would have been met with the same show of force.

The only legitimate problem with this whole incident is the photographs taken of our soldiers on their knees then published via the Iranian television networks and ultimately our own MSM..........

This entire situation is in my area of expertise. I can state with complete confidence that both Iran and our own State Department are lying. The boats did not enter Iranian waters. They were overtaken in international waters by Iranian patrol boats

Matt Bracken's explanation is what makes the most sense.

I wondered why one boat couldn’t tow the other.

Ok. Whose idea was it to drift dead in the water in the Persian gulf? Neither boat had propulsion? Tow was not an option?

Just curious, what is your source that the second boat didn't have propulsion and that just maybe both boats may have been in Iranian waters to begin with? And with the breakdown of the first boat, the second had no chance to tow the first boat out of those waters?

Inquiring minds would like to know......LOL!

Aint there still a book or something?

Aha. I was unaware of that. None of the reports I read included that detail which led me to believe the Iranians were keeping the hardware.

Well I still have 55 years left on my nda.....but since what I know is old crap.

Modern radios have frequency skipping. This changes the transmit frequently very rapidly and uses a key to set the skip pattern. So both radios do it at the same time and same freq. Also includes an encryption key.
Call signs would be the radio call sign.
