Four days since the debate and everyone is still talking about non-issues like Ted Cruz’s citizenship, his loan filing error, and “New York values.”
Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin advises conservatives not to get dragged into the media’s games or campaign squabbles, because he knows “if we do not nominate a solid conservative, we’re going to lose our country.”
He reminds the American people that this election is about them—not about Donald Trump, or Marco Rubio, or Ted Cruz, and goes on to ask—especially those furthering the “stupid talk”—a very serious and humbling question:
“Do we want to save the country or not?"
Listen to the full segment here:
Levin: "I'm Sick and Tired of Stupid Talk!" (Audio)
Levin reminded listener to not forget who the real enemy is: The Democratic Party represented by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Sen. Ted Cruz was once unanimously considered a hero of conservatism, a fighter against the Establishment, only now to have his words twisted and to be cast as a foe.
Levin believes the American people don’t have to be dragged into such stupidity.
Is Trump really our best bet to close the borders?
I thought so once but now I’m thinking he might well lose interest if he got to be president.
I trust Ted Cruz to keep his word on this and I agree with his plan. It’s not as dramatic as Trump’s but it’s more workable.
Cruz has cozied up to Beck. Beck trashed Palin for no good reason.
Trump has remained a friend who stuck up for her.
She doesn’t owe Cruz anything.
Yes, It must be normalcy bias. I see a raging forest fire roaring toward the town and Rush, Sean, Levin, etc. are calling worried about the charcoal in the barbecue grill.
That's not what he said...he said "people ask me to pick him for VP and I can't.
The reason is his own accusation against Cruz. Now he has doubled down to much more personal stuff....
There will nor was there ever going to be a Trump/Cruz ticket. Cruz cannot "clear" himself of a constitutionally based accusation.
Especially a accusation over a constitutional interpretation that has been left to be ambiguous for 200+ years since 1795.
In view of the fact that this argument stems from a political election, the courts will never give standing to a suit at the appellate or SCOTUS level.
Add to this that the intent and purpose of the wording is national security and there is no national security issue, nor has anyone claimed there was or is.
So this is all political theater, and you are a participant.
This is what Mark Levin is telling you, but you won't listen.
Mark’s pretty right on with a lot of his talk, though I must admit I don’t have the stomach for talk radio, I’ve had to ride in the car and done some reloading sessions as a guest where it is on. I think these talk guys are working on ratings more than anything else. It is entertainment(for some) after all. What they have to say about issues and sitting politicians is usually more sensible than what they have to say about candidates. With candidates they’re trying to predict the future successes, failures, actions and reactions of what candidates face.
Cruz cannot win the general election . Trump is the only one who can win
There are never any guarantees. Trump went with the close the border theme, build the wall and send them back to Mexico when it was not popular and he caught a lot of heat for it. A lot of it from Republicans which he is still receiving. IMHO I think he means it.
I disagree. I think you underestimate Cruz’s ability to campaign and win votes,
and I think you underestimate how many people out in what we call the Real World hate Donald Trump.
I think the only people who hate Ted Cruz are on Free Republic but you would not believe how many people despise Donald Trump.
But if we’re dumb enough to nominate him, maybe he can at least beat Hillary, Bernie or Biden.
Well, if he loses, I think the Senate needs him badly.
But I support him 100% for the primary.
Well, you're a very stout person for having the strength to endure Mark's delirium.
I simply can't watch, as "Mr. Constitution" himself joins the enemies of the republic in undermining a central pillar of our founding charter.
I would go with that (a Trump/Cruz ticket). But I think Trump is burning that Bridge. How could he bring Cruz on when everyone could bring up all the nasty things he has said about Cruz.
He’s been really vicious and he sounds almost demented on the subject.
I think that ship has not only sailed but it’s beyond the horizon.
The world has truly hopped on the Crazy Train, when one of the staunchest defenders of the Constitution is arguing to weaken one of that document's critical bulwarks.
It makes my head spin.
What's next, Mark? The 2nd Amendment really is about hunting after all?
I concur, though I would not like to see Palin, whom I like, ever endorse a candidate that I don’t believe is conservative.
IMHO, Trump is peddling hope and change. She coined the phrase that she might have to eat if Trump wins this and shows us how conservative he isn’t. She’s still too young to throw away a chance at being CIC.
This isn’t about Mark “dropping their former favorite” or because he is for Ted Cruz.
It’s about the Constitution and Article 2 Section 1.
There is no possible way that our Founders would have considered Ted Cruz a natural born citizen. So... if it is convenient to ignore this part of the Constitution why not other parts?
And...Isn’t it plainly evident what damage Obama has done to our nation’s security precisely because he has loyalties to nations other than America?

You and me, me and you, we’re on the same page.
That is true....
Trump’s comment on forgiveness was that he has never done anything wrong to be forgiven for, so he’s never asked for forgiveness.
I was quite shocked by that and still am.
There is no possible way that he is really a true Christian.IMHO He could be a Deist. But I think much of his campaign is creative marketing.
I am more sure of that as each day passes. Today he reportedly called Second Corinthians, “2 Corinthians”
