Oh Dear – Mark Levin Credibility Melts Like Glenn Beck Tears (tr)
The Last Refuge ^ | January 21, 2016 | sundance

There's something initially angering that becomes very sad when a fraud is revealed.  Tonight on his radio show Mark Levin was forced to admit the son of his fiancee is a full time staffer for Senator Ted Cruz.

After spending weeks attacking anyone who critiques candidate Ted Cruz, the motives of Mark Levin now take full sunlight.   He should be ashamed, VERY ashamed.

No, Mr. crony-constitutionalist, lying by omission is not the least bit funny.  Nor is deception toward your audience when you do not disclose your own conflicts.   Especially when we consider the hours Levin spends railing against the internecine family associations like George Will and his wife working for Scott Walker.

Crony politics is apparently alive and well amid the Mark Levin radio show. Perhaps he will tell the audience how much advertising money he takes from political campaigns?  Or more specifically entities with a vested interest in political campaigns?

Think he'll fess up now that he's busted?

Nah, me neither.

He's got another book to sell...

Wow. Just Wow.

The campaign of Donald Trump continues to expose the "Decepticons".

You are aware that Trumps older sister spoke for Sam Alito at his confirmation hearing. They were colleagues with identicle records.
When asked who his favorite Justice was he mentioned Scalia and settled on Thomas and then lambasted Roberts for his obamacare decision.

His sister was appointed to the federal bench by Reagan She is now emeritus and retired. Alito remains a close friend. Trump family is close. His sister is a mentor of daughter Tiffany who is headed to law school this fall You need not worry about who he will appoint.

“There are 330 million people in this country. Do they think that one and only one person is the chosen one?”

Maybe. I’m confident God already knows the one person who is the “chosen one”. Who that person turns out to be will signal us as to the future existence (or not) of the USA. I expect that God has had enough of the country’s anti-Christian antics the past few decades. We’ll see...

“... (Trump’s) his ridiculous promises and vague statements ...”

Vague statements? His statements are anything but “vague”.

I agree that Rush has been far more even-handed about the Trump-Cruz thing. It was Mark’s repeated shows on defending Cruz and attacking Trump which made me tire of him. Now that a connection to Cruz has been revealed, I have to wonder what else there may be. No one who has listened to Mark over the last 1 - 2 weeks can say that the show has been anything more than the Ted Cruz Show featuring Mark Levin.

If it is all so innocent then why didn’t he tell his audience while he was trashing Cruz’ competition. Why did he hide it until he was blackmailed?

Best election ever!

As a veteran I can assure you I am a defender as I have my blood sweat and tears to defend her. I’m merely bringing up a point of view not a belief.

You’re barking up the wrong tree if you are calling me subversive in the defense of America and her values. Hell I’ll go one further as a vet. Not only am I a vet but didn’t take the easy way out by going Air Force Navy Coast Guard (slight friendly snub to my other get buds of other branches) if anything I took the hardest path :-)) USMC for life

This a is a cult of personality. They are trashing life long conservatives for a liberal just because he says he’ll build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. People are so easily fooled.

I'll vote for a liberal who loves America before I'll vote for a so called conservative who loves the North American Union...

Thank you for your service.

My point is the the question of foreign-born eligibility is settled. If you are defending a foreign-born candidate (one whose parents are abroad with no connection to service to the US) as eligible for the presidency, then you are subversive of the constitution. Maybe accidentally because some fast talker has clouded your clear thinking.

I urge you to think about this, if you truly love the country, before you conclude either that it is settled Cruz is eligible, or that it is unsettled, but he is eligible until SCOTUS says otherwise.

But how does that make Trump better than the pols? Once he gets elected, he's a pol too. How many of his promises do you think he'll keep. Make Mexico pay for the wall? All the other stuff?

What reason do we have to believe he won't keep his promises...Does Trump have a history of lying to people???

Even if Trump is successful in only one of his claims, that one more thing that his opponents even intend to accomplish...

We can't lose with Trump...If he does nothing, he's still just as good as the opposition...

... says pseudo-author “sundance.”

Who is this “sundance” troll? Nothing but rabidly hateful smear attempts at Ted Cruz and those who support him. Totally in the bag for Trump, and totally disingenuous.

Unfortunately as we have seen SCOTUS has had the final say. I attribute that to an extremely weak Congress who have allowed the Executive and Judicial to establish law vs the aforementioned enforcing and ruling on law. This is why I’m no longer angry at the actions of Obama nor SCOTUS. They have been allowed their power through the inaction of Congress. I believe further Congress is enabling them purposely. You hear them hem and haw about unconstitutional actions by the executive repeatedly. What then are they doing about it?

The inaction by the GOPe congress is due to a belief that once they capture the executive they will then turn power over to that person to pass law at will because the precedent has been set that Congress takes no action when the executive clearly over reaches. They will then have their own puppet. I know tin foil hat thinking but I haven’t seen anything to the contrary

Not at all disingenuous. What was he railing against Trump about? Did Mark endorse Ted Cruz? Do you even listen to Mark? I doubt it.

It is a level of scorched earth I’ve never seen before.

Trump plays this way because he knows and cares so little about the issues. The country has problems because our leaders are stupid. He's going to fix them because he's a winner. He's going to make America great again by p*****g on foreigners. The problems are simple, and life will be good again when we have a leader who sweeps them all away with a flick of the wrist.

The interesting thing IMHO is that Trump supporters, in my experience, generally understand that Donald's rant is nonsense, AND THEY DON'T CARE. They think the country is going down the tubes, but rather than think about it, they are content to follow a ranter. If engaged civilly, which is always my practice, they will readily agree that the left isn't stupid. The other sides knows exactly what it is doing. We have fundamental moral and philosophical divisions about the nature of the country in which we want to live and the relationship of citizen and state. Do we want a free society, will we defend freedom of speech and religion, are we willing to hold people responsible for their actions, and should government be the servant or the master? The left no longer accepts the fundamental American civic and constitutional settlement. Most Trump supporters I've spoken with seem to understand this. But they don't seem to care that Trump himself doesn't seem to. That's disturbing.

Levin’s promise to “catch” the person who found the truth and $5,000.00 bounty is staggeringly imbecilic.

I came to Free Republic because I am a Conservative. Now 1 see people trying to destroy a serious Conservative because his fiancee’s son works for the most Conservative candidate.

Yup. Levin has been a top conservative for decades. Cruz is the conservative in the race.

It's absurd to think that Levin would alter his point-of-view to be for Cruz, and that he wouldn't have been for Cruz, all because his fiancee's son, who he has only known for a short period of time, is some gopher in Cruz's DC office.

It's not tin foil if its true. They all know Obama is ineligible, and they all know Cruz is too.

There is a persistent attempt to undermine national identity, and this goes on not just in the US, but everywhere.

The GOP is no more "patriotic" than the DEM party. Both will and have sold the country to the highest bidder.
