I did suspect you were being disingenuous with your questions about his political donations, but I touched on it anyway.

It would be far most honest of you to say that you think he’s lying, and that you don’t trust him.

I could at least respect that observation, and not the weasel reasons you give.

What weasel reasons? I was clear: I have a problem with his history of significant (25% is a significant percentage) contributions to Democrats. I see no good reason to do it. All the reasons given in his defense stink.

Here is what classmates at Harvard said about Cruz. They all agree he is brilliant, a libertarian conservative ,but; they all say he is a creepy a— hole. “Cruz has nothing to learn from anyone.” That alone worries me. A man like Cruz, a know it all, would have been a terrible CO in combat and most likely got his men killed or he would have been fragged. No one wants a Combat CO who refuses to listen to his NCO’s. Cruz is like that based on these comments plus his actions in the Senate. Cruz makes Trump look good.

I am sure many people think Trump is a rude crass a-hole type, too. If Cruz’s troubles you, why does Trump’s not?

For me, I see that both can be forceful and seen as a-holes by those they oppose of envy their drive. I know that is there for both candidates. I am not talking about that issue with Trump. You are changing the subject to find a moral equivalence I am not even discussing, and don’t have an issue with.

I am troubled with the Democrat support history. That is what I am discussing.

"God Bless Donald Trump and the United States of America. Finally going to fix the mess that the President and all of Congress did to this country"

You can include all the Presidents also because the country is ruled by money lobbyists. BUT WHO WILL TRUMP EMPLOY AS HIS ADVISORS?

He didn’t remember Cruz at first. Judge Bork supposedly did not remember Mr. Bill or Mrs. Bill at all from Yale Law School.

I had never heard “Two Corinthians” used before, or “Two Kings” for that matter.

" “Cruz has nothing to learn from anyone.” That alone worries me. A man like Cruz, a know it all, would have been a terrible CO in combat and most likely got his men killed or he would have been fragged."

Could just as well have been written about Trump, who got a $10 million check from Dad on the day he graduated and spent every single day of his adult life as dictator of a multi-million (and billion) dollar company. Trump might make a good dictator, but there are all kinds of checks and balances on the US Presidency that forces one to be more collaborative. In history, when people are frustrated with government, what is the mistake they tend to make? They turn to a guy that looks tough, shows dictatorial skills, and they end up with a Juan Peron or Mr. Mussolini, or someone else better or worse, who sees no problem in trampling individual rights "to get things done." Ignoring Trump's extremism (yes I used the word on purpose, he's full-throated) when it comes to property rights should send a chill through everyone on this board. There are no perfect candidates, they all have flaws. All of them will disappoint us about something. But the kind of leadership demanded by the Presidency is not "steamroller" leadership, but rather that demonstrated by Ronald Reagan, the guy who was principled yet always kept in close touch with everyone. He spoke well, but he also listened well. He argued and worked hard for what he believed in, yet went above and beyond to understand the other side, he insisted on having breakfast with those who disagreed with him on a regular basis (Obama is a pathetically weak man in this category, if he can't preach, he's not going to show). I'm in a very small minority on this board, but I'm sticking with Rubio, the kid who came from less than nothing, served as Whip in his legislature and then Speaker of the House, tough jobs that put one constantly in the crossfire of different competing visions. Like Reagan, he's an articulate conservative, sticks to the issues, and avoids personal attacks. Yes, I know he changed his mind on illegals. So did Trump, so did Cruz. And everybody else.

Trump at least understands business and he had to take econ 201 to get a degree. The Wharton School of Business is highly rated. This country is 19-20 trillion in debt and we damn sure do not need an attorney running the country. Cruz has never had to meet a payroll. He is a brilliant lawyer and AG should be his job. We need a man who understands administrative policy formulation, the factors of production, money and banking, etc. Cruz has no clue.
