Cruz's problem is people like you denying him the nomination.
If Cruz is the nominee he will whip any possible Democrat candidate in the general. Like a threadbare rug.
Open your eyes and discard your fanaticism. Your belief is not realistic.
As intelligent as he is, he cannot withstand what will be coming his way if he ends up winning the nomination. His “enthusiasm” factor does not rise anywhere near the necessary level to pull off a win.
And I would like nothing more than for him to be the next POTUS (providing he dumps Beck ASAP), but I the obstacle course he must traverse is prohibitive at this point in time.
Which states do you believe that Cruz can win in the general election ? NO (!), not what you WANT to believe, but the states you REALLY think he COULD win?

Sorry, but Cruz has not shown any kind of fighting spirit.
And with his horrendous votes in the Senate—even just three bad votes can taint a candidate forever if they’re bad enough—and his refusal to address the Canadian question—which the Democrats are already filing lawsuits about—he’s not ready. The media would make mincemeat of him because he’s not willing to fight back just as hard and just as dirty.
We just know the American people and how disappointing they always are.
