By way of their irrational hatred of Cruz, they have become “strong in the dark side of the force”. They may rue the day it they are able to take Cruz out and end up with Trump as their nominee.

Don’t think the Cruz supporters see this any more than Cruz could see how McConnell was going to use him in the 2014 elections and for TPA.

Agreed. Cruz should want to send a message to the GOPe just like Trump. We are not playing by your rules anymore. We want a level playing field. Then those who are not part of the GOPe could set up their own fair discussion and debate format in an honest environment.

“I love him, but he’d lose 40 states and everyone knows it. Even him.”

Maybe 35, but with the same result: Madam President.

Cruz’ time will come - he’s young, and got plenty of it. At this point I’d like to see him as Trump’s A.G., prosecuting the heck out of the crime families of the last 2 Dem administrations. He’d clean things up, make a name for himself, and show that he’s Presidential timber.

They are not taking out anyone independent minds want them to “take out.” Their influence amounts to voodoo hexes at this point.

Cruz supporters DO NOT support Rubio 2nd.

That is a blatant lie. B.S.

Are you a Trump birther? Because it seems to me you can’t say Cruz is ineligible now, but that he might be illegible later.

Try logic - if supporters go to a pro-amnesty candidate then they are ok with amnesty, and therefore their first candidate was pro-amnesty as well.

I am not exaggerating when I say, that may be the stupidest thing I have ever read.

As if the statement wasn't bad enough, you attempt to say "logic" is how you arrived at that position.

Let's say Rubio wasn't in the race and Ted's supporters said their second choice was Carson instead. would logic dictate that the only reasonable conclusion is that Ted is secretly black?

My goodness....

Excuse my ignorance as I ask this. What would it take to replace all of the RNC leadership. I mean all. Next question why don’t we?

Trash?

I didn’t trash him I said I loved him. We have a candidate that can win New York and New Jersey for once meaning we will win the elections and I’m going that way this time.

What policies will Trump have to espouse in order to win NY and NJ??? Do you really think he is going to be able to win NY while still claiming to be rock solid pro-life?

Wow. That’s a helluva question. And not naive at all.

Bottom line....I don’t think you could get rid of all of them. You could show the worst ones the door, but they’d crop up again in a few years. Kinda like herpes. Or cancer.

An elected gop president, as the de facto head of the party, could definitely clean house somewhat. Assuming that DT wins the nom and the election there would be some reform. Far more than we’ve seen out of anyone else, but even he would be constrained a bit by realpolitik. I think the best you could realistically hope for is someone who is a real SOB to be named RNC chair. Someone like Roger Stone, although I don’t think he could get the position. A good choice would be Cory L. If he’d be willing to do it.

As to why. The same reason we never have been able to unseat the uniparty: they’ve been doing it for a very long time and are very good at it. They’ve set up the election laws to make it damn near impossible to launch a successful third party. Power never gives up power voluntarily.

Not ‘’most’’. Some. That would be Cruz supporters.

Or perhaps Clinton supporters, even though they profess to be conservatives.

I’ve wondered. I don’t know WHO these people come from. All I know is that they’re not who they pretend to be. Too weird. Creepy.

I will certainly vote for Trump if nominated, especially if the alternative is Hillary Clinton. How about you if Cruz is the nominee. Were you a Perot supporter, our are you too young for that excellent adventure?

Didn’t vote in that election. Pat Buchanan was my candidate back then (voted for him in 2000).

That is putting the cart before the horse wrt Cruz. I’m waiting to see how that unfolds. I would bet that we haven’t heard the last. (Trump is easier to say because anything there is to come out is already out. And based on the talking point loop, there’s nothing more to come out.)

I have a simple formula. Before I reveal it, it is based on the fact that I have but one vote. In the circles that I frequent, you need to write a very large check to play at a higher level. I won’t do that.

My formula is simple:

1) I vote for the most conservative candidate in any given race.

2) I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER vote for a Democrat.

Trump is not a Democrat, so far so good. But to say that he is the most conservative in the race requires a flight of fantasy that I am not prepared to take. As for Cruz, I can only observe that he is despised by his fellow Senators of both parties. I consider that a big plus.
