If I saw some jerk throwing a tomato or whatever at my candidate - yeah, I drop him to the floor like a bag of rocks without even a second thought. But, then, I’m “old fashioned” that way - not a “metrosexual” wuss.
I kinda like that approach scaled up to the national level. Just like CCW discourages evil doers, the threat of having the crap kicked out might discourage some nitwit who thinks it’s his right to disrupt a rally that others want to hear.

What is wrong with stopping someone from committing an assault? If a person is throwing an object to harm another person, there is nothing wrong with stopping it. Or if someone wants to defend themselves with a gun they need to be shot first before they can respond.

I like the sentiment but open advocacy of physical assaults does concern me nevertheless. Escorting the tomato people out, ok. Beating the crap out of them — not ok in my book anyway - it sounds too much like a Clinton or Mussolini type way of running a public meeting Perhaps I’m not expressing my concern very well, sorry.
