Milford, New Hampshire (CNN)Donald Trump on Tuesday said his decision to skip the last Republican debate before the Iowa caucuses may have led to his second-place finish in the Hawkeye State.

"That could've been with the debate," Trump acknowledged to reporters in Milford, New Hampshire, where he was introduced and endorsed by former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown. "I think some people were disappointed that I didn't go into the debate."

Even if you hate Donald Trump and think he is the biggest liberal who has ever libbed

You have to admire the fact that he was the only candidate (in decades) to tell the liberal establishment media to go pound sand.

It may have cost him Iowa but I think it might have got him the nomination.

About time a GOP candidate breaks the liberal media chains

AILES called his Bluff, Donald don’t take that lightly, so it is someone’s else’s fault....

So, that is why Ailes called Melania, Ivanka 3 times begging them to ask Trump to call him back. Trump would only speak to Murdoch.

So as someone already observed Fox lost more money than any other network ever. Per minute commercials went from $750,000 to $100,000 for each commercial. Would have been cheaper if they gave the $5 million to the Vets to get Trump to show up.

Trump got 1 less delegate than Cruz in IOWA, raised $6 million dollars in one hour, and Trumps Reuters polls are still at or above 38 percent.

Fox attacked Cruz, proving Trump has vision. Trump as they say in football read the Fox offense and avoided the ambush. Trump stuck up for himself like he will stick up for America. Trump stuck it to Fox. Fox was exposed as being for Amnesty, H1b visas, that is why they back Rubio and Bush, not Cruz and Trump. If you can’t see this your blind.

It’s not just the debate, Donald. You have the highest negatives of any candidate by far.

He came in second place, and only lost by what...5000 votes? This isn’t too shabby all things considered.

Dude, it’s great Ted won, but you’re deluding yourself if you think Trump is finished. Let’s see what happens in NH and South Carolina, then we’ll have a clearer picture.

What will your thoughts be if Ted loses NH and or South Carolina? Not being smart, but am really curious?

As I’ve said, this is far from over. It’s also important to remember, Iowa has a less than average rate at predicting primary winners.

Can you imagine playing any type of board game with this man? (Trump). If not winning he would swipe all the pieces on the floor...

As a kid he would probably take his ball and run home if his team was losing a football or baseball game.

ASA VET FYI

In other news:
Meet Chad C. Sweet, Ted Cruz’s campaign chairman, former DoD/CIA/Goldman Sachs/Homeland Security.

Sweet co-founded the Chertoff Group with former Bush and Obama administration Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff.

As a leader of the Chertoff Group, Sweet “advocated for expanding NSA metadata collection.”

Meet Ted’s ex-CIA PR guy, Dan P. Gabriel. Gabriel is involved in SIGINT aka interception - which is turned into propaganda. His twitter handle is @danpgabriel and he was one of the people pushing the angle that it was confirmed to the Cruz campaign that Carson was dropping out. After called out on the lie, the agent deleted the tweet and denies everything in typical spook fashion:

“Cruz cheating cost Trump Iowa.”

Right. Had nothing to do with this:

“How stupid are the people of Iowa?” Trump asked, after wondering how Carson could have narrowly avoided stabbing a friend by hitting his belt buckle. “How stupid are the people of the country to believe this c—p?”

Nor his lack of a ground game, nor his missing the debate.

No, it was that evil Cruuuuuuuuuuuuuz. What Trump really means is he was beaten soundly by the real conservative.

Prior to the caucus, nearly all thought Trump emerged strong by skipping the debate; now hardly anyone says that. He missed a “free” opportunity to opine to the public. Apparently, many of those at Trump rallies in IA were there for the “celebrity”, not the candidate.

sorry, Trump is far from done

He still leads in NH by 25 points +/-

Sure a 5 point lead might be able to overcome in Iowa, but NH is a different bird

Anti-Trumpster said way back in the summer that the Manhattanite born in Queens would melt down. He may be doing so. Scott Brown may end up switching to Rubio.

Cruz cheating cost Trump Iowa.

Could be, as someone here suggested to me, that it was actual landslide for Trump but again the establishment.....

America wake up and wake up now!

Thank you

I agree, and expect Trump to do MUCH better in New Hampshire, but this stream of consciousness tweeting and kvetching does not help him look like the winner he has presented himself as. He's got a big lead in New Hampshire, and time to step back a bit if he wants.

That’s insane, Grandpa. Fox may not be perfect, but they’re miles better than anything else out there.

And speaking of not being perfect, Trump is much further away from it than there are.

Maybe not options for you, but it's who we're going to get stuck with. Rubio has no shot.

If it did cost him Iowa (rather, it cost him a single delegate in that caucus) it served to place the media on notice that manipulating the debates is not going to be an easy thing this time around. It may not have been worth it to Trump but I think it may have been worth it to the country. Just my $0.02.

Delegate count to date: Cruz 8, Trump 7, Rubio 7, Carson 3, Bush 1, Paul 1

From past history, losing Iowa is not so much a bad thing...

Not a fan of caucus voting anyway...Just go to the polls and VOTE...

Also, not a fan of open voting...I think in primaries, you should only be able to vote per your registration...If you are registered independent, then you either can’t vote in a primary or you have an independent candidate.

What will your thoughts be if Ted loses NH and or South Carolina? Not being smart, but am really curious?

From here on the ground in Nevada, now that Dr. Paul dropped out Trump has no real problem winning almost all of Nevada’s 30 delegates. Team Paul were experts at caucuses.
They lost the vote last time to Romney yet wound up with most of the delegates by sheer expertise knowing all the rules and taking advantage of them.

I think the next 3 contests go for Trump. Its going to be a 2 man race Trump and Rubio. Outsider versus Establishment, Amnesty Pimp vs. Close the Border Trump.

Cruz will run out of money.
