Referring to bullet point #1. "I will never get — nor do I want — money from the DC lobbyists", look at the truth:

Almost all of these donors are Washington DC lobbyists. All of them directly funding Ted Cruz, not a Super-PAC, but his direct campaign. - SEE FOR YOURSELF

-

The entire statement

..."I will never get -- nor do I want -- money from the DC lobbyists"...

..is a flat out lie. It is not a misstatement, it is a complete and total falsehood.

Many trying to destroy Cruz. Do not seem to care that our nation is being destroyed, just as long as his or her ‘perfect’ choice is not smeared and is the person to elect. On that basis, we the voters, have for many, many years done an absolutely abysmal job. But, do not worry, this time it will be different. Good luck to us all.

To correct your asinine post, they are NOT all DC lobbyists. Do you even know what a lobbyist is? You really should check the things you receive before you post them elsewhere and represent them accurately - assuming you have an interest in being accurate, that is.

Most of the firms on that list probably employ lobbyists, as does virtually every bloc of our economy, from corn growers, to aircraft manufacturers, to energy producers. Lobbyists exist for two reasons: 1) to protect businesses and other interests from the government - especially overly burdensome regulations; and 2) to obtain favored treatment from the government on behalf of their paying clients.

For reference, here is a link to a list of the top DC lobbying firms.

https://www.opensecrets.org/lobby/top.php?indexType=l&showYear=2015

You’ll note that NONE of those are on the list and only two have EVER been registered lobbyists. To be fair, Baker Botts LLP and Morgan Lewis LLP were registered lobbyists in 2015, which is something Cruz should definitely address.

Now, just to complete the picture, how about posting a list that shows Trump’s loans from major international investment banks and his personal ownership of funds or stock in those banks. Hint: Trump has not only loans from Goldman, but also owns stock and funds with Goldman.

I quote: Eight of the Republican presidential hopefuls, Trump, Cruz, Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Carly Fiorina, Chris Christie, and Jim Gilmore said in financial disclosures that were largely filed between June and August last year that they had owned Goldman funds or Goldman stock, and in some cases both. The disclosures mostly cover the period from the beginning of 2014 to the middle of last year.

Yes, I know... Regarding Trump, it doesn’t matter...

I guess we’ll just have to nominate Santorum. That will make the gay communists very happy.

It's getting to the point where I am becoming disillusioned with BOTH DT and Cruz...but where's my alternative? Despite what many of us may think to the contrary, the establishment/enemedia is doing an AMAZING job dividing Conservatives in preparation for the "business as usual" forcing of the right(conservatives) to choose a milquetoast candidate once again...

The most prescient statement ever uttered is that history has, and always will, repeat itself ad infinitum.

It is not a misstatement, it is a complete and total falsehood.

So if something like that bothers you so much then who is left for you to vote for?

I don’t see Haley Barbour’s BGR lobby firm on the list, oh Haley doesn’t support Cruz, Haley opposes Conservatives in his home state of Mississippi. That’s as good as any Cruz endorsement for me.

Gee, you wouldn’t want to provide any sort of context for that list, would you? I don’t see anything in it indicating that this is a list of donations to Cruz. Looks more like a list of assorted political donations by these entities.

I don’t know... I’m so tired right now...

When this election season started, I was really happy and eager. I thought that we had two great candidates and they were at the top. I figured that the best one would win, and then we’d all reunite in order to stomp all over Hillary.

Now I can’t even post an opinion without getting venom sprayed at me at fire-hose level pressure. And worse, I’m finding myself more and more likely to start doing the same thing, lashing out wildly in anger and emotion. I don’t like myself when I’m like this. I’ve tried to correct things, but all my attempts at offering peace to those I’ve fought with so far have been spurned.

I’m so tired... I can’t stand this any more...

I don’t know what Cruz did or didn’t do, but I do know it made no difference in the outcome.

Why is yours so much different than this one? I don’t know how to convert to a .jpg or I’d post the whole thing.

In any case, Ted Cruz saying he’s not in bed with big money is an out and out lie.

I find the desperation by Trump supporters to be unbecoming. I think I’ll vote for Cruz.
