Marco Rubio is biggest loser. Trump and the governors all have a good night in NH

Saturday night at the GOP debate in New Hampshire belonged to the executives: the governors and the businessman.

Indeed, if Saturday is any indication of what kind of debater Donald Trump can be, then it's safe to say that it really was a mistake for him to skip the Fox News debate before the Iowa caucus. He may very have won it if he had shown this kind of strength and adeptness just days before Iowans went out to vote.

Judge Janine is an absurdly biased and unfair Trump shill.

I do have to give DT the learning curve prize. He listens to each answer and you can tell when he agrees. Scary that he has to learn so much though. He’s been in a golden bubble for a long time.

Hamm talking to Brett started talking about how well trump did then abruptly stopped mid sentence. Must have got the message from the control booth.

Ha....and would make a great video clip for Trump ...pointing out the MSM bias.

Hope the Trump team pick that up.

That's why Cruz would make a perfect assistant to President Trump, whether in the VP or other role.

Most CEOs and leaders surround themselves with people who are smarter then they are. Many of them probably can't even read a P&L statement or open a spreadsheet without some staffers breaking it down for them. The notion that the "smartest guy in the room" needs to be the leader is consistently proven otherwise in the private sector. Usually the CEO is a "bullying" type personality who knows how to motivate other people and get things done.

Nothing quite like a radically far-left New York-based unfunny comedy show 20 years past its prime trashing a great conservative Republican. It sends a tingle up the leg of everyone on Democrat Underground.

The job of president is not a CEO job. It doesn’t require “getting things done.” What we need more than anything in a president now is one who will STOP the government from trying to do things. We need a restoration of limited government, constitutional principles. The only way that is going to happen is electing someone with a deeply held conservative ideology. The natural instinct of the average person would be to come into the government and try to “run it better.” No CEO in the world would ever have the mindset of trying to come into a company and shrink it to be as small as possible. It’s the completely wrong resume and mindset for the job. Trump’s idea of coming in to run the government with smarter people is simply a prescription for continuing the bloated, failed federal government we have.

Back in the 1980s, there was a Video Game called Dragon Quest. It was kind of cool because you played the game on the normal big pixel eight color screen, but depending on what happened in the game, you would get ten second video clips that flash up, usually of your grusome death.

The first time you saw this game, you loved it, because it got beyond the limitations of the flat screen game, and held the promise of a virtual reality live-action game. But after you saw it a couple of times, you grew to dislike it, because it only had about twenty video clips, and while the video clips were cool, they were all clips of things you really didn’t like, namely, your own death.

I feel the same way about Marco Rubio. When you first see him, you are kind of excited, because he gives these vaguely appropriate sounding answers all wrapped in smooth caramel goodness. But after a pretty short amount of time, you realize that there are only about twenty different clips, and you have seen them all before. Then you start to look at the individual clips, and you realize that you don’t really like them so much after all.

That’s my point exactly. All the establishment presidents of recent history have not been able to get anything done. As a result, government has been allowed to run amok and continue to grow in size. You simply cannot cut the size of government without “getting things done” by cutting it down in size and ensuring that what remains runs more efficiently. Having worked in the private sector, Trump is not used to dealing with the bloated bureaucracies and inefficiencies that exist in the public sector. He has a history of getting projects done under deadline and under budget. This is the mindset we need in Washington.

Furthermore Trump has no history that could or would substantiate anything he says he's going to do for this nation.

1) The NY veterans memorial

2)Flashback: Trump Saved NY Veterans Day Parade Marking ... www.thegatewaypundit.com/.../flashback-trump-saved-ny-veterans-day-...

Jan 30, 2016 - Flashback: Trump Saved NY Veterans Day Parade Marking 50th ... It turns out Trump has been generous with veterans over the past decades–all it takes is a little more research than those with a wrong impression of Trump

any questions....?

Your #116 is very good.

Seems a lot of FReepers are acting like liberal Democrats and picking a candidate based on “feelings/emotions” instead of actually considering the logical, sober and conservative positions put forth by Cruz.

I’m a Texan and I don’t particularly like the nasal voice and his pattern of speech. However, I listen to what the man says and view his actions and he has represented the people that elected him. He will do so as POTUS, as well.

“Nah. Trump’s the big loser - low self esteem, constantly bragging about himself and how much money he has, eg. “I may come back to Iowa and buy a farm”. He was an obvious misfit on the stage in tonight’s debate. “

Oh, that’s priceless. Trump? “low self esteem”?!

As for being a misfit - well, I agree there. He’s not a dirtbag, lying politician or lawyer. I consider that a good thing.

“Trump looked like an immature child.

No depth. Shallow.

No self-control.

Vindictive. Reactionary.

Not prepared.

Self-seeking. Narssistic.

Small.”

Hey! Lemme guess! You’re a Cruz supporter, right?

JJ, your #156 reflects my thinking after the debate.

If people would stop evaluating candidates based on their own emotions/feelings and instead listen to the content of what the candidates are each saying, then Cruz was the winner.

You mean that the Princeton and Harvard educated lawyer and Senator with the Harvard educated, CFR connected, Goldman Sachs executive wife may not be an establishment outsider after all? I think it is amazing that Cruz was able to sell that fiction to anybody at all.

But he’s not really a detail guy, he is ignorant of a lot of the innards of many issues, not in and of itself a bad thing but it doesn’t help.
