Excerpt:

In a move guaranteeing that 2,100 workers will be out of a job, two Indiana plants have plans to move operations to Mexico.

The companies, who make products for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), will begin layoffs within the next two years.

Carrier Corp. said it would shutter its Indianapolis plant employing 1,400 workers and move its manufacturing to Mexico. The plant's workers would be laid off over three years starting in 2017.

United Technologies Electronic Controls (UTEC) also announced Wednesday that it will move its Huntington manufacturing operations to a new plant in Mexico, costing the northeastern Indiana city 700 jobs by 2018. Those workers make microprocessor-based controls for the HVAC and refrigeration industries.

Yes. I’d like to see Trump have a little private talk with them about the mistake this will be for them if Trump wins the Presidency. The first job losses are not scheduled till mid 2017, so a lot can happen between now and then. Wouldn’t it be nice to see candidate Trump have his first victory in the battle against job outsourcing?

Rush pushed for NAFTA like crazy.

Thanks for the info.

The NAFTA debate was before my "political awareness" and therefore before I had even heard of Rush.

I wonder if he would push for it today?

Nothing brings out the Uniparty forces like one of the big globalist trade or immigration deals. I can recall back to the late 1950s and recall no legislation that brought out the full court press like the NAFTA debate.

Say what you will about Ross Perot, but he was absolutely slimed and smeared for opposing NAFTA.

Turns out.........the man was right.

Yep, and if he hadn't dropped out of (and re-entered) the presidential race in 1992, he had a strong chance of winning and could have rejected NAFTA.

But he was 100% correct while opposing it and we continue to experience the Giant Sucking Sound, and will for years to come unless Trump can win and begin to reverse these one-sided trade deals.

I saw something a few months ago about how a lot of supermarkets in Europe (and probably here as well) are getting much of the fish they sell, from China. The problem is, they soak the fish in some kind of saline liquid. The fish absorb it and it increases the weight by 30%-40%. So you buy a 2 pound filet, take it home and cook it, and it shrivels up to about a pound.

China is a huge abuser with this kind of thing. They ignore intellectual property rights when it suits their interests, and flood this country with counterfeit products of all kinds - electronics, perfume and cologne ,clothes. You name it.

A friend of mine sold legitimate perfume at a local flea market. He had a thriving business. He was able to sell competitively with the department stores because of his lower costs. About ten years ago, people started popping up selling fake Chinese imports. The packaging looks almost identical to the real thing, and they sold it for a fraction of what he was charging for the real stuff. He finally had to close up because he refused to rip people off by selling the fake stuff.

And the fake stuff is lower quality. Don’t kid yourself. You spray it on and it lasts about 5 minutes and goes away. It doesn’t even smell like the real stuff but can fool the uninitiated who don’t know and are just looking for a good deal on a gift for their wife or girlfriend or whatever. The stuff also goes bad after a few months. Goes rancid.

And it only took the end of the longest peacetime economic expansion in U.S. history to do it!

If it was 1980 Rush would be backing Bush over Reagan.

How cool is it that now when I post to you, I am in Michigan.

So glad for this great state, even if the first six miles of my commute home were whiteout driving at 20 mph. :-)

So glad for your job too!!!

OK, I got it.

Rush Limbaugh is a RINO liberal Democrat masquerading as a conservative.

Gotcha.

NAFTA, Preamble Goal: Support Sustainable Development.

S.D. is Agenda 21

Unless Trump can reverse the ongoing Agenda 21/Sustainable Development policies America will NEVER be great again.

I got my chores done before the first squall hit. The rest were fun to watch through my window, cocktail in hand. I don’t have to be back at work until Monday . . . and I’m stocked. I don’t plan to go anywhere tomorrow, although it would have been nice to say goodbye to Ferndale (I’m moving closer to work on Thursday).
