What we learned is that Cruz was right, yet Trump called him a liar... and more importantly we learned that Trump will use our tax dollars to fund planned parenthood....

This point alone should disqualify any self-described Conservative from voting for Trump. Unfortunately, there are a sizable number of liberals now posting on FR.

Did Trump happen to mention mammograms while defending Planned Parenthood?

People are realizing Trumpets are stacking the poll. He was @ 60% 1/4 through the debate. Poll is a joke, especially after his disaster of a performance tonight

Oh, so now they’re garbage? I assume there were also Cruz votes at the 1/4 mark of the debate in these polls? I guess those can be discounted as well...right?

Republicans are happy to control the purse strings of Congress and let a Democrat sit in the White House.

We have controlled the purse strings? Hell, we gave the democrats everything they wanted.

There is an unhinged desperation amonst a few Cruz supporters here. They hijack every thread with repetitive out of context comments to stymie honest expression.

Yup. Scalia’s death makes it certain now we’ll have a liberal majority in the Supreme Court. That’s actually even more important than the presidency. It was already a shaky 5-4 edge somewhat to the right, but as we’ve seen Anthony Kennedy and John Roberts can’t always be trusted on big votes, and now we’re down to only two we can really trust on the court in Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito. The president will nominate an extreme liberal and watch our guys fold like a bad poker hand even though they’re in the majority in the senate and on the judiciary committee. Also, the president will look to get a younger replacement for Ruth Bader Ginsburg, so now we’ll be looking at a 5-4 edge for the liberals with Kennedy and Roberts the swing votes. Yes indeed. It was a bad day for conservatism all around.

Worse than a lunatic fringe religious nut.

After tonight, I am certain that Cruz is a non-faithful hypocrite. That or he’s falling and falling hard for his desire to be President and being led into sin because of it.

The usual suspects can start blathering about Trump, but outright lies like tonight, even in a political campaign, are NOT the mark of a Christian.

Go to bed, Both of you.

Anyone as childish as you two should have been up early today, watching cartoons -- not up past your bedtime, making childish remarks about a serious matter.

Cruz fans are like Anti- disciples, I only began to Hate Cruz after contact with his followers. If Jesus had followers such as Cruz, we’d be praying to Roman Gods.

Do you think Mitch will say his KY constituents contacted him and told him to approve the liberal justice?

No word on donations? Wow. however, his big donors may write checks at the end of the month or before the 60 days after invoice (typical business practice to earn daily interest since there probably isn’t a late surcharge).

If it isn’t paid, who will cover the story?

What a moron, George W Bush was at fault for 9-11?

Trump is a Democrat, hired by Hillary to sabotage the Republicans. Sorry, you know I didn’t like him from the beginning, but that’s my opinion. He’s the same amoral left-wing crony capitalist that he was 7 years ago.

I’m sticking with Rubio or Cruz, because they are, 90-95-99% of the time conservative, and as Trump himself said, “I don’t often agree with Ted or Marco.” Which is an admission of his submarining liberalism.

Bat Mitzvah after party ran late. Had to spend the evening with the other dads, sallying forth from time to time threatening to dance with our 13 year old daughters. Gratifying levels of panic ensued. Good times. Had to miss the debate.

I think I had more fun than you guys.

Btw, the democrats there just rolled their eyes at Trump, who they regard as a fool. They don't think he can win in November. They really hate Cruz, because they think he's serious, and they know he is smart. Kasich seemed to their favorite Republican, with Bush in second. The crowd was heavily democratic. It was somewhat less Jewish than you might expect, as school friends were invited and those are mostly Christian. Still an overwhelmingly democrat crowd. The bat mizvah itself, by the way, was held in a local church, a first in my experience.

One of the few things most of the GOP candidates agree on is that Cruz is a liar and sleaze. He oozes it.

You cannot build properties of the magnitude Trump owns and not have the best people help him to run them. That is how I know.

Exactly...what have these other schmoos done besides run their mouths with fine language and political talking points. We get what Trump says. He talks shorthand—uses one word for what the politicians would use pages and pages. We get that.

We get that Trump has built grand properties. We get that some business ventures failed while others succeeded. We get that. He tried and failed at some ventures. But the others...the others...they have only suckled at the government teat for a living. All of them. They are bought and paid for...they dance for the puppet master. Who holds Cruz’s strings?

...[Trump] is running a general election campaign now.   Country club Republicans and weirdos like Rubio are his foil.

Yes, now I see it.   He's comfortable enough with his lead that the main target is the Democrats.   If he was that concerned with fighting off Cruz or Rubio, he would have attacked them more.

Instead, he focused on Jeb who is going nowhere.   And like you say: that allows Jeb to play the foil and show Trump was smart guy about Iraq -- and even ISIS where Jeb foolishly said we should try to overthrow Assad.

With the big crowds he's getting in the South, it looks like "game over" is coming soon.

He said PP should be funded ONLY if it stops abortions

That is asinine. Planned Parenthood is in the abortion business. They have been for decades. Trump knows this, yet is now citing the DNC talking points about how they provide good services.

I have a question, I heard what Cruz said tonight about how we are one Liberal Judge away from getting our 2nd Amendment rights being taken away from us, can the Supreme Court do that? If they wanted to, with a 5-4 decision actually ban Americans from having a gun, can they do that? Because that is what I Fear most, with ANY Dem nominee, that is what will happen
