Grading the South Carolina Debate: Trump, Carson, Rubio, Cruz, Kasich, Bush
Opinion ^ | 14 Feb 16 | Xzins

Posted on 02/14/2016 4:36:44 AM PST by xzins

1. Trump, A+ -- Fought like a champion. Finally, someone with the guts to call out our nation for being 15 years at war, still killing our sons and daughters so politicians can put a feather in their cap, and most of them calling for more war. Bush wants BWIII, Bush War III

2. Carson, A-, quietly but effectively said that he was in it for the people, that he'd been asked to run, and that he wasn't there for any other reason. Outstanding.

3. Rubio, B+, Say what you like, but Rubio wiped the floor with Cruz on the immigration question. The April 2015 video shows Cruz supporting 'talking about what to do with immigrants after the wall is built.' It shows him calling for massive increases in H1B visas.

4. Cruz, C, Clearly the most knowledgeable about the supreme court vacancy. He needs to stop misrepresenting others' positions. Trump called him out on the Planned Parenthood question. Trump has clearly called for defunding PP if they keep doing abortions. If they voluntarily stop doing abortions, then he would support their doing breast exams and pap smears and the like.

5. Kasich, C, Did a Mr. Rogers in the neighborhood act. Hillary Clinton will eat his lunch.

6. Bush, F-, This man is totally lacking in insight. He actually called for another war in the middle east AND he wants to fund Al Qaeda in Syria. He's simply not up to the task.

Except that Trump would have been doing the kicking. He's a big guy and a fighter, and Jeb would have his lunch money taken away along with his custom made cowboy boots with lifts and spring heels from his mom. And turtles...bare foot and bewildered.

Are you a woman?

Ooooh, an attempt to lock half the population out of the debate, just like the lefty pro-aborts do. My wife is a woman, and she would no more go to Planned Parenthood for an exam than to the toilet for a drink of water.

Cruz did try to stop the budget, and vot3d against it. I recall that he couldn't get a second to put on the brakes. He's better off in an executive role where he can call the appropriate shots.

What’s sad is that you still support a candidate who willfully and consistently violates the 9th Commandment

Ya that old Fraud and abuse answer. Sorry, even if you scrubbed the 106 year Olds off the Social Security database it would do nothing to fix the fact SS is insolvent.

Trump says he would fund if they stop doing abortions.

This is a winning argument for the general election.

But the bottom line is that only congress can fund these programs. The president can only veto the budget.

Pretty good assessment, but Rubio really blew it when he INCORRECTLY stated Cruz doesnt speak spanish.

Rubio has been in politics since he graduated from law school.

Never had a real job in his life, unless you count conning Miami Cubans into voting for you and then voting the way your donors say to as a job.

No qualifications whatsoever to be President.
A slick smooth talking liar and degenerate twerp, hispanic and Cuban first, American second.

Cruz did way better than Rubio, showed he is American first.

Your grades seem to have been made before the debate. I only saw part of it, but an honest grader wouldn't give Trump an A+ or John Ellis Bush an F-.

You should have labeled the post VANITY. That's what it is.

And it was clearly stated in counter what those things were and weren’t, could you not agree that was also said?

Half truth are not our friend. We have gotten them for decades from the establishment.

Some “conservatives” will not be happy until we’ve abolished social security and medicare. Raising retirement age is bullshit too. If we could afford trillions for the Iraq war, I think we can hold on to social security without either selling it out to wallstreet through privatization or raising the retirement age so that people hopefully die before they get to get their money out.

Trump wants Trump War I, which will no doubt be the biggest, most wonderful, most spectacular war in the history of the universe. How else is he going to take ISIS' oil once he defeats them?

Stop it.
Every western intelligence agency thought Iraq had WMD, even the Democrats voted to allow W to enforce the UN resolutions by force.
Were things mis-handled after the take-down? Sure, but was rectified with The Surge. This was a swamp that had been all but drained - until Obozo broke the levys.

"Bush Lied, People Died" is so far below the integrity of a Freeper, but surely not below Trump.

Butbutbut it’s patriotic to fund endless wars in the Middle East!

Granny and grandpa who paid in all their lives? Not so much.

I am sick of Social Security for seniors being called an entitlement. It is my damn money and if it had been invested not stolen there would be a lot more of it. Trump spoke entirely of SS when entitlements were mentioned. Jobs would decrease the welfare rolls.

“Sorry, even if you scrubbed the 106 year Olds off the Social Security database it would do nothing to fix the fact SS is insolvent.”

So your answer is just to ignore it. Just keep it going like it is. It is the system that is broken, not the idea of its concept.
