You: “shut up Trump, take a break”. Me: what’s up bro’, Trump getting to you? Losing your Moorings?
Cruz IS a senator, as are Rubio and Sanders. They should have attended as Senators, not candidates.
While Obama looks petty by not attending, I believe that this is probably for the best. Obama is classless and political to the bone and I really doubt that he would have attended in quiet reverence.
Obama would somehow make this all about him if he attended. Actually, by not attending, he has managed to draw some of the focus on himself.
If he had attended, Obama would likely find a way to insult Scalia or his views.
I am glad Cruz attended. Doubt that TRUMP has had occasion to meet, or be acquainted with the good Justice, but obviously respects him so.
Obama is a beast of hatred for all things Christian, especially this holy hour for Scalia the Great.
Out of the thousands of seats in that beautiful shrine there wasn’t one available for Mr. Trump had he wanted to attend? Like I said...Priorities.
Well I am ready to eat humble pie here. I thought it might be rather subjective if a President attended the funeral of a sitting Supreme Court Justice. I was wrong.
Obama is the first President in over 65 years not to attend the funeral of a sitting Justice. So I was wrong and Obama once again has little or no respect for any traditions or more to point common decency and courtesy.

No at all. I know where my moorings are. Do you?
He’s upset because this post makes Trump look good. If it were Saint Rafael who tweeted this, he would be singing his praises on bent knee.
Cruz may had a personal connection but why would Trump go? He has no connection to that.
See my post #66
I see that an Obama defender is heard from.
Awwww... is that the best you can do.
That’s ridiculous and a good example of the lack of logic employed by a lot of you Cruzys. Obama is President. Trump is not and may have not been invited. It’s all about Obama attending or not attending.

Donald J. Trump Statement on Justice Scalia
I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to the Scalia family after the passing of Justice Scalia. Justice Scalia was a remarkable person and a brilliant Supreme Court Justice, one of the best of all time. His career was defined by his reverence for the Constitution and his legacy of protecting Americans’ most cherished freedoms. He was a Justice who did not believe in legislating from the bench and he is a person whom I held in the highest regard and will always greatly respect his intelligence and conviction to uphold the Constitution of our country. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.
Maybe Scalia’s family got word to Obama that they wanted him to stay away.
You appear to be moored on one side to arrogance and nastiness and on the other side to rude condescension. Have a nice day
Yes, Cruz knew Scalia & family for 20 years.
Thank you very much. You have nice day too.
I disagree - the country needs a friendly ass-kicking.
Tough love, if you will. The time for tea and sympathy is long past.
Thank you Lady. A lovely condolence.
I have no doubt that TRUMP has privately lavished the Scalia family with his personal condolences, flowers, and a memorial contribution invitation, of their choosing.
Very nice.
TRUMP has performed touching and memorable charitable acts to many, and has never even alluded to any of them. Perhaps, some day these acts will surface publically.
WTH is your problem?
