Bill Gates: 'We need an energy miracle' to prevent catastrophic climate change

Bill Gates thinks it may take a miracle to find the kind of cheap, clean energy source needed to safely power the planet through the next century. But he believes governments and businesses aren't doing nearly enough to discover one.

In a letter issued by his foundation on Tuesday, the billionaire philanthropist repeated his plea for a financial call to arms in energy research, saying massive investments are needed to find and develop new technology that can fuel the world's economy without poisoning its inhabitants.

"The challenge we face is big, perhaps bigger than many people imagine. But so is the opportunity," Gates writes. "If the world can find a source of cheap, clean energy, it will do more than halt climate change. It will transform the lives of millions of the poorest families."

All it takes to change the weather is the massive redistribution of wealth and liberty from first world democracies to third-world fascist dictators.

How about we toss computers , smartphones and all Microsoft and Google devices in the trash and go back to the way we were when the world was saner?

We already have several: Coal. Natural Gas. Petroleum. Uranium. Thorium. Barack 0bama.

See, Bill? Your problem is solved!

We could solve this problem overnight if everyone who thought CO2 was a dangerous pollutant stopped emitting it personally.

That’ ‘miracle’ was safe nuclear power followed by un-politicized research into cold fusion.

Instead these people who have never swung a hammer or drilled a hole or any of the other actions associated with real work prefer their fake little projects like solar, wind, ethanol, biofuels and the like.

Speaking of Thorium, there is a great series on Netflix called “Occupation” I think. Mixed languages but a riveting story nonetheless.

Odd. It wasn’t Gates’ money that got pi$$ed away on solar and wind power boondoggles.

so......we need to plow trillions of dollars in public resources into something that, by definition, is a “miracle” meaning it almost certainly cannot be done by humans?

We have one and its been rejected.

NUCLEAR POWER

Standardize 2 designs and don’t let each individual utility design their own.
Stop the 7 years of approval paperwork.
Control design changes and upgrades over the years.
(If California doesn’t want them built there, neither do they get to use the power)

Nuclear waste management has ALWAYS been a political issue as there are multiple excellent technical solutions.
The packaging is straight forward and the storage locations are easy to identify.
(such as the old nuclear blast sites in Nevada)

You start first, Billy boy. Get rid of the factories that make your products, ditch the airplanes and cars, live in a tent. What? The rules are for everybody else but not for you? That’s what I thought.

Being among the wealthiest men in the world, Gates realized years ago, you have to publicly play ball with the left-progressive schemes, or they will attack you and take all your money.

Yeah and lose the jets and the mansions he owns. They make for a carbon footprint that's as large as 100 families I'm sure. Sorry can't trust a guy who invents an OS that amounts to spyware to spy on the American people and give unfettered access to the Feds so they can go on a fishing expedition if you don't agree with them. That and a supporter of a pathologiical liar dictator who wants to dismantle the Constitution and America and helped invent the Common Core Muslim Love Indoctrination system.

350 years of recoverable coal in America.
What needs to be invented is a clean burn system or other technology.
CO2 injection isn’t working.

No. So those trillions can be siphoned off into his buddie's on Capitol Hill's hands. That's all this climate change hor$hit is about anyway. Stealing funds from taxpayers using a completely false ruse.
