Is anyone in the Trump campaign talking to Newt? Seriously. Is there any chance of “winning him over”? He carries a lot of acumen in his depth and a lot of power. Or is no one talking to him? This would be a HUGE personality to get into a Trump cabinet/administration.

Read somewhere there are talks of Newt being Chief of Staff which, as I understand it, it the main liaison between the President and Congress. What better person than Newt?

I think he would be a great VP. Frankly, someone who could walk into the oval office if something happened to the Pres and be Pres on day one. That's the main job of the VP, let's face it.

And you win the Political Idiocy award because, like your candidate, your response to bad new is to try and shoot the messenger rather the learn anything that challenges your cult style candidate worship.

What are they drinking in VT

Did you really say this? The state that gave us Bernie Sanders, Jim Jeffords, Howard Dean.

Isn’t that enough?

Delay is an American Hero. Especially after being slimed by Ronnie Earle.

Anyone who attacks Delay is not on our side.

Delay has sacrificed his life for conservative principles.

Stop the presses; the real big story of the night is that Rubio won Minnesota. Nothing else matters.

This is why in I think it was Minnasota, not sure now, TRUMP was at 49.5 and Cruz was at 9.0.

Niche is never going to win anything, but maybe in a high school track meet.

Cruz’ world seems very, very small, and the USA is hardly of a seminary composition any more. (sadly)

Will be interesting to see if Texas pushes Ted over the 50% +1 threshold. Right now, Ted has 29 delegates (41.91%) to Trumps 18 (28.29%) and there are 6300 precincts that haven't been counted yet.

I think if that were really likely, Cruz wouldn’t be acting so butthurt in public right now.

Cruz is behaving like a crazed cult leader. He must think “God” is on his side, and confounds all who do not follow in his “righteous” path.

Cruz gave everyone not on his side reason to dislike him in his speech. You don’t win elections with a fraction of your base. You have to attract other voters and Cruz is demonstrating a rather shocking political tone deafness when it came to getting anyone outside his choir to join him.

Exactly. I saw it too and just as I was starting to like Cruz again he goes off on those half truths. Just wouldn't stop. Forget him...he's never going to appeal to anyone but the most die hard Cruz fans.

Hmmm MN the only state to never vote for Reagan going to Rubio?

Doesn’t surprise me.

Odd comment for you to make since Trump is the one routinely described as bombastic (and not in a disparaging way, which is fine). Trump bombastic = good. Cruz bombastic = bad.

Okay.

Even Chris Mathews was stunned that Tom Delay was suggesting that the RINO Establishment STEAL this election from TRUMP

So what!

Style has nothing to do with this.

Substance is the issue.

Cruz has defended and won constitutional liberties for every person on this board tonight.

Cruz shut down the entire Federal Government because he is “an asshole” in 2013.

The man stands tall and strong for conservatism like no other candidate.

he has been called a “pussy” and “the worst liar in politics” while Trump gets far less condemnation than what you offer here for Cruz.

He beat Trump in Oklahoma which was not expected by anyone. Trump scored highest in Massachusetts. That ought to tell you something.

I genuinely believe that Trump does not like conservatives. That is why he finally decided to throw some praise toward Cruz tonight— he fears people are wising up to his method.

Trump supporters hate Cruz because he is the only real threat to Trump. Absent Cruz, Trump has clean sweeps everywhere.

I am glad Cruz is impeding Trump’s ability to lock the nomination. Trump has done precious little to nothing for conservatives. His promises are fascinating but hardly motivating to me.

Cruz has done many great things for the nation with regard to conservatism.

I am glad he is challenging Trump—same as he challenged Dewhurst— same as he challenged President Bush— same as he challenged Mitch McConnell.

Cruz fights for our constitutional liberties like no one I have ever known in politics.
