Donald Trump defiant as GOP leaders fight to stop him
LA Times ^ | March 6, 2015 | Michael Finnegan

Posted on 03/07/2016 7:36:34 AM PST by Innovative

But since the Republican donor class fell into a panic after Trump dominated last week’s Super Tuesday contests, the pugnacious front-runner has, fittingly, taken an in-your-face approach to its assault on his candidacy, including millions of dollars in advertising against him.

And he has warned the GOP establishment that its attacks risk turning off his huge following.

“Time to start donating to Trump.”

Time to start extra praying for Trump.

And he has warned the GOP establishment that its attacks risk turning off his huge following.

Well now they are finally admitting that Trump has a ‘y u g e’ following, took them long enough...

He has brought more people to the Republican Party in 8 months than any other candidate has in the history of the party, and they are in a panic because of his ‘tone’; ‘brashness’; ‘tell it like it is’ way of opening the eyes of America...

Do we love him? YOU BET WE DO!!! Will we go third party, if that is HIS decision, YOU BET WE WILL!!! And don’t let me hear you say ‘it will put Hillary in the white house’ NO IT WON’T, because WE are the voters behind Trump that will OUT VOTE THEM!!! We have been doing this for 6 months now, no other candidate running has the backing that Trump has, and never will have, and guess what folks, Trump could, if he wanted to play by their rules, has the money to ‘buy’ everyone’s vote!!! So put that in your pipe and smoke it GOPe; RINO base; Wall Street; lying media; stupid talking heads; special interest groups; super packs, don’t ever forget the power of Trump!!!

I’d like to see Trump turn more toward attacking the GOPe instead of Cruz. They have that enemy in common and thus far, Trump has not been hesitant to name the enemy.

This election is not R vs D because to the Wall St./K St./GOPe establishment, it doesn’t really matter - just look at how well they did under Obama. This election is about the GOPe elites vs. We The People, and Trump is leading the fight.

Michael Finnegan is so outrageously a Trump hater that I quit reading this writing about one third of the way into it.

No prior history with Republicans? You mean like his endorsements and huge donations to Dole, McCain, Romney? His support of the GOP goes back to when Cruz was in college or high school.

The GOP and the Media fought Ronald Reagan’s primary run fiercely. The GOP ceased its attacks though, once Reagan selected the globalist GHW Bush as his running mate. Of course the Media never slowed down and in fact intensified its hatred and contempt for Reagan. Look at today’s obits for Nancy Reagan as an example.

The Bush globalists never liked Reagan but they hid it well. But they were bound and determined to never again let another Republican candidate upset their globalist apple cart. Thus the civil war in the Rep Party we see today.

Trump endorsed and campaigned for Romney in 2012. So stupid of you to say he has no history with Republicans. Very stupid, actually, to the point of being intentionally obtuse.

I enjoy reading her blogs. A little research into facts available after reading them shows that what she says is true. Not for the faint of heart or closed minded.

Cruz couldn’t win the Southeast in his own party! That is our firewall against Hillary and he bombed there.

Exactly! That’s why you’d be insulting him to donate. It’d be like mailing candy bars to the Mars family. Find yourself a worthier charity!

Smile ~ well his supporters are not losers, thank you very much. No matter how rich, another few million to counter the establishment can never hurt.

Cruz is soliciting the anti-Trump vote. He is siding with the GOPe.

That opinion commits the fallacy of too few alternatives. There are other possibilities in addition to the one stated as if it’s absolute objective fact.

I have been doing that, constantly. I so want to get our country back.

Every day, every new attack reinforces just how bad and how deep the corruption is. How terrified everyone is that it will be brought to light.

re your tagline: I think Duncan D. would be great for VP. He certainly knows the illegal immigration problem first hand from San Diego. He's a vet and knows the military. He also fit the criteria of knowing how Congress works. Plus, he endorsed Trump a few weeks ago.

Sounds like a perfect fit!

Certainly not any Democrat. I guess when cheap labor and foreign giveaways are at stake they grow some balls

That's true! They NEVER fought Bil Clinton or obama like they're fighting Trump. That says a whole lot about Donald Trump...he's got the right enemies!

I would say it a different way, Trump saw a hole in the GOP that needed fixing. He decided he could fix it. He would have to use his vast wealth and his knowledge of the media and he would select key issues that resonate with the conservative side of the GOP.

In this respect, he did not do the same as Bloomberg. Bloomberg picked a liberal place and selected issues that resonate with the left. (gun control and sugar). The only thing I see in common is the use of personal wealth.

I do not think Trump would like being compared with Bloomberg but maybe if Bloomberg joins the race from the Democrat side it may be more applicable to compare them.
