I wouldn’t doubt Kasich in the 20s in MI... South was Cruz’s stronghold and he’s lost so far everywhere but TX, his home state, and only had 3 more states left to try to get something out of all that effort he put in there. MS, MO and SC.

MI is more in Kasich’s wheelhouse, so I would not be surprised in the least that he’s in the 20s.

There was a poll last week showing Kasich up a few over Trump... it may have been an outlier or just caught a trend earlier that other polls.

Kasich is no serious threat to the nomination, but he’s certainly going to play better in the upper midwest/rust belt in general than Cruz will on average if he’s in the race.

If Kasich does win MI, its hard not to argue an inflection happened in the Campaign... I don’t see Kasich as any real threat for the nomination, but if he wins MI, he’ll definitely get some momentum for OHIO next week and if he wins OHIO he’s certainly sticking around until April 5 or 26th, which will continue the 3 man race for another month.

Trump didn’t have a great debate, I think his changing stand on H1B harmed him, and basically it was a pile on between Fox, Rubio and Cruz, and like it or not, Kasich won the last debate IMHO simply because he stayed out of the mudslinging. The establishment gelling on the anyone but Trump and spending untold amounts of money against him collectively will have some impact.... how much waits to be seen.

Trump will have to adapt if he loses MI, or MS... but he’s a smart capable guy, I am sure he will.

Seriously doubt Kasich is at 21%. This is a 2-man race and everyone knows it by now. It will be very close between Trump and Cruz.

Florida and California are "winner take all" states that highly lean towards Rubio getting those states. I'd say it is still a 3-man race. I think Trump has hit his peak and we will see Cruz and Rubio start taking a lot more ground as this progresses. But you are right, Kasich needs to drop out and so does Carson.

If he would stick to the issues, stop talking about the other candidates and himself, he would do better.

Most of the polls I have seen in MI have anti-gun Kasich at less than 10%.

With Clinton and Sanders locked in a royal battle for the demonrat nomination, Kasich has no chance!

That smarmy a-hole thought he could count on RAT crossover voters in both MI and OH, that won’t happen!

It’s really ridiculous to claim that Cruz won both Maine and Kansas by cheating.

Do you have proof, or just trying to excuse Trump’s losses??

Rubio and Kasich seriously need to drop out or else the Republican Party is stuck with a scam artist and carnival barker who says one thing to his hordes of followers and another behind closed doors to the NY Times editorial board.

“He actually did not do well himself in that recent debate. He bears full responsibility for any slump.”

It is a bit hard to counter an assertion that is an outright lie. For example, when Rubio says with much gusto that Trump got a 200 million dollar inheritance from his father, all that Trump can do is deny it. It is an assertion, a lie, but it would appear to be co-equal in weight to someone who doesn’t know better. People don’t really believe that someone on a presidential debate stage would lie like that.

Ditto all those lies. Another example: Trump speaks first on the 2nd amendment, pledges strict adherence to the historical meaning of the amendment. Cruz is next, and no sooner than the echoes of what Trump pledged dies away, Cruz in his very first statement declares, “Unlike Donald Trump, I don’t think that firearms should be confiscated”, or some such. In some circles, that kind of lying is known as superior debate skills. The next day on his show, Rush avows that Cruz is such an honorable man that cannot tell a lie.

The best quarterback in the world can not really do much if he is blitzed by about 15 players every play.

Wouldn’t say proof positive but this post gives me pause for concern.

“If he would stick to the issues, stop talking about the other candidates and himself, he would do better.”

He would not have any problems at all.

Briefly dismiss the lies and talk about an issue — immigration, trade, wall, Muslim immigration, deportation, etc.

Trump destroys himself. He doesn’t need any help.

You are correct, sir. I'm all in favor of a Trump slump.

The fact is, Trump did support Clinton’s assault weapons ban.

You can try to spin it, but the facts are facts!

I hope you are right but I sense that the GOP has definitely dented Trump’s momentum .. I noticed Fox/Chris Wallace pretty much let an interview with Romney denigrate into the same anti-Trump speech Romney gave the day of the debate.

Kinda looking at Trump now like he is a wounded grizzly.

Millions in anti-Trump messages coming ... pretty hard for one person to withstand that much vitriol. Keeps all the heat off of Cruz, too.

He’s got all the right enemies which is why he has voters. His enemies are our enemies and he’s unmasking them, for all the world to see.

Where have you been? Rubio has about as much chance to be hit in a drone strike than win Fl or CA. LOL!

We’ll have endless interviews with people who invested money with Trump and lost money,

We'll have endless interviews with the four Benghazi families who were told it was a video ... women who were raped and grouped ... etc. etc.
