Huffington Post: Trump Near-Certain to Defeat Democrat in November According To Primary Model
Huffington Post ^ | 3/7/2016 | Helmut Norpoth

With Donald Trump as the nominee, Republicans are highly certain to win the presidential election on November 8, 2016. Trump will defeat Hillary Clinton with 87 percent certainty, and Bernie Sanders with 99 percent.

These forecasts come from the PRIMARY MODEL. It is a statistical model that relies on presidential primaries and an election cycle as predictors of the vote in the general election.

Early primaries are a leading indicator of electoral victory in November. Trump won the Republican primaries in both New Hampshire and the South Carolina while Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders split the Democratic primaries in those states.

What favors the GOP in 2016 as well, no matter if Trump is the nominee or any other Republican, is a cycle of presidential elections. After two terms of Democrat Barack Obama in the White House the electoral pendulum is poised to swing to the GOP this year. This cycle, which is illustrated with elections since 1960, goes back a long way to 1828.

Really?! Is this a joke... has you even listened to the main stream media... the Trump is Hitler / Mussolini started on the left day one with in announcement about illegals...

Have you bother to notice the list of left wing Hollywood celebs screaming they're going to leave the country if the new “Hitler Trump” is elected?

And then you have the establishment GOP....really you muse be kidding... on the anti Trump side.. you're in bed with the Michael Moore, Rosie O'Donnell left

Yup. Except there’s White House party fatigue after 8 years.

If Hillary wins, she’d be lucky to serve one term. 12 years is the most Americans will put up with the same party controlling the White House.

The GOP could run Dumbo the Elephant against Hillary based on this rule and she would still be beaten.

Its quite possible the 8 Year Itch may be Hillary’s undoing in November.

I’ve told people since Truman a president being able to serve only 2 terms, only once has the party that held the WH regained a third term and that was 1988. But it gets worse if the party that has held the WH for two years leaves an unhappy electorate

At the end of Trump's swearing in ceremony, he should call a meeting of all the current Cabinet members and tell them they're all fired. Then work with Newt and Sessions to build a new Cabinet.

Eliminate EPA, Energy, Education, HUD, roll Homeland under FBI and CIA. Slash budgets for all remaining departments and agencies by 25%.

One week later make announcement to the Fed, depending on the audit,: "You're next."

Inventory nation's gold reserves.

This would be just for starters.

Yeah, I doubt Trump would be having very many White House parties. He’ll be working on getting our balance sheet back in the black by slashing waste, fraud and corruption. Laffer and a few other guys will be on his staff fine tuning tax overhaul to increase revenues.

Great pic. I’d love to see a similar rendition of the crazy Moonbat Bernie comparison shot.

Since the polls mostly aren’t worth anything, I am not doing anymore analysis because there is no reason.

Agree.

Like to see him take Miss, Michigan tomorrow. Nice if he bagged Idaho and Hawaii to make it a slam dunk.

Just think Romney and his Mississippi 14 type people are going to steal it from Trump.

The following validate the findings of this post:

1: Republican primary turnout is huge, up 50%
2: Dem primary turnout is way down, at least 20%
3: Hillary is winning on the strength of the AA vote. They always vote D, but in rather small numbers if an AA is not running.

Anecdotally, no one really “likes” Hillary. 20% simply adore her, 50% hate her, but no one thinks she is “ok” One does not win election that way.

Of course, this all is meaningless if HRC is indicated and Biden steps in.

We all know this.
Cruz has only won two primary states.
Came third in the swing state of VA.
Never won a single county in some southern states.
Cruz is only where he is with the help of the establishment now.
Trump brings in non party and blue collar Dem workers.

Now the Cruz voters will say the people Trump brings in will not vote in the general which we all know is a lie.

I know plenty of people who are non party who want trump and just last night before bed I talked to a couple of people who said they will vote for Trump , but will not vote for Cruz because of the way the establishment has gone after Trump and another person who is a nonparty stated if Cruz get it then they will not vote for him because he;s your typical republican, elitist, smug and too religious.

This is an outdated formula not accounting for the scores of illegals coming in daily. They are the dems great equalizer.

The establishment has gone all out here in FL to take Trump out.

Why would they want trump out when he is the strongest candidate and brings in non party voters which we need?

Because they can’t control Trump . They know they can work with Clinton and once Cruz does their dirty work the poor boy will be dropped like a sack of bricks and be left wondering why no one likes him again.
