I will be leaving to vote on my way to work in about 1/2 hour here in SW Idaho.

I will be voting for Cruz. For me, he has the best record of faithfully supporting the Constitution and conservative principle. He also has the best knowledge of and commitment to the constitution in a candidate for the presidency.

Having said that, as I have said numerous times on these boards, should Trump win the nomination, I will support him 100% against Hillary or Sanders.

Keep your eye on the prize!

LOL

Hemmer basically called Cruz McCain. He was talking about states/counties to watch.

Hemmer didn’t even realize he made the gaffe.

Cruz calls Trump an outsider.

Goldman-Sachs v Trump Towers.

Pot v kettle.

It was never really a Cruz surge as that implies he rose on his own merit.

Cruz’s over performance was due to two things, one Rubio dropped like a rock and Cruz got those votes and two Dr. Carson dropped out and those mostly went to Cruz.

Isn’t that how elections are won?

Didn't The Donald tell us that when the other candidates drop, he will get a lot of their support/supporters. You Trumpettes need to align with your Master on these talking points.

I wonder how the rust belt Michigan voters feel about Cruz representing Toyota.

In the year of the outsider I can’t see Kasich doing well anywhere. Nine terms in the House funded by open-borders, pharmaceuticals, oil, etc. then through the revolving door to Lehman Bros. where a non-banker gets a banking job for a cool half-mil a year.

I see Kasich either getting paid by GOP to break up the vote or using his delegates to force Trump to take him as VP which would be terrible.

If Trump is your 2nd choice, make him your 1st. It’s going to be a brokered convention or Trump, translation, GOP or Trump.

Yes. That’s called a campaign.

You position yourself to attract more and more supporters as you progress.

When you attract a significant number of supporters in a short amount of time, it’s a surge.

When candidates drop out, their supporters go to the candidate who is their second choice. That is why it is important not to alienate a rival candidate’s supporters during the campaign. It is desired that they come to you when their first choice falls by the wayside.

As you suggest, Cruz was the second choice for a lot of Rubio and Carson supporters.

The support levels for Cruz surged because he persuaded their supporters to support him.
