Trump Turns Victory Speech Into QVC Pitch: I Got Steaks, Wine And Mags!
TPM ^ | MARCH 8, 2016 | SARA JERDE

Seemingly wounded by Mitt Romney's critiques of his business acumen, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump put some of his Trump products on display for a national TV audience in what was supposed to be a victory press conference.

Trump spoke from the Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida after he was projected to win primaries in Michigan and Mississippi on Tuesday.

Romney questioned the success of Trump's businesses in a speech last week. But Trump rejected that notion, bringing his own steaks, water, and wine to his press conference in an attempt to prove himself.

"I have very successful companies," Trump said, knocking Romney's critiques. "He really shouldn't have done it. It wasn't becoming."

He’s worked hard to build those brands and companies and Zromeny attacked it. I don’t blame him for a second for wanting to defend his company..no one else will do it for him.Behind each of those products are something no one else running has created...jobs

I still don't get the steaks and the magazine -- both enterprises went out of business. Is he bringing them back? Lord knows he's getting enough free advertising to do so.

Mitt Romney: Net assets $250 million

Donald Trump: Net assets: $4.5-10 billion

Mitt's tie doesn't even look like a Windsor knot. Must be an old moron knot....I mean Mormon knot.

The anti-Trump media laughs at Trump while he makes fools of them all. He had all 3 cable network cover him for a full hour in prime time - for free!

Again, minipulating the media that hates him to disprove their claim that he will not be able to deliver on his promises.

Oh, that makes more sense. Headline's a little misleading though. Here I was thinking that Trump was saying that he was sitting around in a bunker, surrounded by loaded magazines, preparing to "go to the mattresses". And in da Trump Bunker, there's none of that freeze dried food crap, but he's well stocked with fine wine, great steaks, and everything else he needs to survive the apocalypse in style.

Romney lied and said that those parts of Trump’s businesses had gone under. Trump was using an illustration to prove Romney lied. They lie and aren’t even embarrassed about it!

The people supporting Cruz are vile. I believe it’s part of the Seven Mountain Dominionism — do whatever is necessary to achieve the status of “Change Agent”. It’s Cruz’ religion. Romney has been tied to a similar cult — besides Mormonism — New Apostolic Reformation (NAO).

He misspoke on the size of his winery. Not the largest on the east coast. Certainly not close to a good wine, either.

Except that they're all gone. The Trump steaks weren't Trump steaks; that's gone out of business. These last night were actually from a company called Bush Brothers. There is no Trump Water anywhere outside of Trump properties or resorts; he pays to have bottled water labeled. Trump vodka is extinct. Trump Magazine is printed solely for use by his companies. And the Trump wine is actually from a vineyard his son Eric is associated with. So no, Trump isn't creating any jobs by buying this stuff that any other consumer doesn't create.

Glenn Beck called it a fake Magazine and sense Cruz and Rubio are such good friends even though yesterday Rubio accused Cruz of Dirty Politics and is now a wholly owned by the Bush Family

In March, 2013, Wine Enthusiast gave the 2007 Trump SP Reserve a 91-point rating. This is the highest rating ever given to any still or sparkling Virginia wine.[7]

I hate to say it, but I’ve been looking into this and it appears to me that Trump was the one who lied about the steaks, water, and magazine. Those steaks were from Bush Brothers. Trump Steaks sold by Sharper Image haven’t been available for years.

Trump Water is simply a private labeling arrangement for his properties. I could have .45 Long Colt water branded today. That’s not the same thing as owning a water company at all. His old bottled water was called Trump Ice and it hasn’t been sold in a long time. I don’t know if he ever had an actual water company.

Trump Magazine folded years ago too. That magazine he held up was his brochure used in his hotels and resorts. It’s the ad “magazine” you find in almost every hotel room in the country. It’s not Trump magazine at all.

"The people supporting Cruz are vile... Seven Mountain Dominionism... It’s Cruz’ religion."

Prove it! Otherwise your claim is no different than the claim that Trump supports the KKK. If you can't it would be you and your claim that would be "vile."

I myself would support either Cruz or Trump.
