Ted Cruz Says Donald Trump's Voters Have "relatively low information" And Are "not that engaged"
CBN News ^ | March 10, 2016 | David Brody

Posted on 03/10/2016 6:23:01 AM PST by VitacoreVision

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed.” Hunch: I’m thinking Trump and his “Silent Majority” may push back on this just a bit don’t you think? Lots to unpack here but for now, here’s the clip.

Our interview was done Wednesday afternoon in Miami.

-- The original purpose for NBC was a heightened loyalty to America, greater than naturalization ... --

I wouldn't say "heightened," but undivided. There is another aspect too. A dual citizen is subject to the jurisdiction of two countries, meaning "the other" country can arrest, charge, press into service, tax, extradite, and otherwise do the things that countries do to citizens.

Thanks for the link. I have seen so many family members and friends who have had incredible potential fail because they got hooked on alcohol at an early age. The people who managed to get prohibition passed were trying to address real problems. Long term abuse of alcohol changes people and robs them of what they could have achieved. Those of us who avoid it are bewildered by behaviors that make no sense.

People who come from homes with parent alcoholics learn to lie at an early age even to themselves to hide the terrible things that they see as children. Unfortunately most, like Ted start abusing alcohol themselves as soon as they are able and the lying and deception gets worse and worse. There is nothing about Ted that is not deceptive. It is all a facade. But there are so many cracks. His situation is so obvious to those of us who have spent a lot of time around alcoholics.

There are a lot of very sincere Cruz supporters here. I suppose that if I hadn't already experienced what I have and seen what I have seen that I could easily be one of them. But there is nothing worse than putting your faith in a lying high functioning alcoholic, especially one who has stooped to Elmer Gantry style antics which we are now seeing from Ted. He now sounds like a preacher which is a recent development which strikes me as very disingenuous.

True. A person who virtually most thought was a creep and know it all at both Princeton and Harvard is not going to change with power.

“Listen, Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed. When they inform themselves, they realize his record.”

It’s 100% true that anybody who educates themselves on Trump cannot support him in the primary unless they are a liberal Democrat or an anarchist.

Sometimes the truth hurts; Trump wants truth telling?; this is truth telling. If you are insulted by the truth, you need to look inwards.

Trump is an abortion loving, Gang of 8 loving, Hillary loving, gun control loving, Obamacare loving liberal New Yorker. Yeah he hates the establishment but so does Bernie Sanders. Maybe Bernie should switch to the GOP since he and Trump are two peas in pod.

That being said, if Trump takes the nomination, you can count me in the “anarchist” camp, because WGAF.

LOL Cruz is most arrogant, two faced, self professed know it all’s? Cruz? HA HA HA HA HA HA

Coming from a Trump supporter, this statement proves what Cruz said.

He repeats his old man’s Cuba BS for political gain.
No, he actually repeats it to show where he came from, his background, his experiences and how he knows what Communism is and what it is to be an American and value America and what she stands for. Sure, it can be used for opolitical gain, but duh, HE’S RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. Are you that unengaged, that you don’t see that? At least he’s not pushing steaks, wine, water and magazines that no longer exist, as if they still exist and lying about their validity in order to make profit.

The old man never did any fighting. He was at most a protester. He lied about being with Frank Pais when he was killed. Pais was killed 6 months later in a different place. Claim you were saved and still tell lies.
I find it rather telling that your statements, and beliefs on this story, can all be backed up by Democrat and left wing news media. Interesting....since when is slate, allthingsdemocrat, dailykos, nytimes and gawker (to name a few) a reliable, truthful source? Yet you believe it, because it aligns with Trumps narrative to slander Cruz.

Wow. You must be uninformed if you believe the tripe you do. #Justsayin

Trump doesn’t even know whats on his own “policy papers”. With trump supporters it never gets past the insults and name calling.

Cruz shows why the senate eschews his snarly petulance when he is asking for something he can’t have on time.

TRUMP and Cruz supporters are as well informed as anyone on the perils before us, and the policies that brought them.

How dare the SECOND tier candidate demand allegiance from the FRONTRUNNER TRUMP supporters, miss his mark, and start insulting those leading the only Revolution around.

“Just like the Carson supporters will remember the “IOWA LIE” !”

Yes, and Chuck Norris laid out the TRUTH that he did NOT endorse Cruz! “Lying Ted” seems to stick, doesn’t it!!

Ted Cruz is viewed as a far right, religious radical. Don’t know whether that is right or wrong, but most of what I read describes him this way. The majority of the voters will NOT vote for Ted in the general election. The cross over voters for Trump will retreat back to their roots and the elites like Levine will have accomplished their goal. They are no more American that Ted Cruz himself. They support Hillary over Trump and Cruz accomplishes the goal (maybe). Cruz is exactly like Obama, only from the opposite direction. Half the country will hate him. He has no compromise or common sense which is what we need at this time in history.

I have learned that this Neil Bush connection to Cruz is more about the future of young Preston Bush in Texas, who won his first state wide office in the Land Office, I believe it was.

Preston is Jeb’s son and Neil’s nephew. The Bush machine is greasing the skids for Preston in Texas and with Cruz, whether Cruz goes to the senate again, or to the TX Governor’s chair, in Austin.

Thought that was interesting. That came from an old Reagan operator whose name escapes me, but who appeared on Lou Dobbs last night.

Wow, he is not as smart as people give him credit for...he is also lying cause he can see the broad demographic pool from which Trump pulls and the much greater enthusiasm factor Trump supporters have over Cruz supporters...just more lies and distortions from Cruz...he really is a pathological liar, we have seen others like him in the past folks...Bill Clinton comes to mind first and foremost...

That’s right, even the Trump-hating media acknowledges that he is getting the highly educated and those with less education to vote for him. Besides, Cruz can see the incredible crowds that attend Trump’s rallies, so he considers all of them low information?

Cruz continues to spout out any lie on Trump that hits his brain in the hope something will stick. It won’t.

I’ve had enough of Cruz’ arrogance and condescention to last a lifetime. Even then, it’s been way too much. He has all the charisma of a water moccasin.

I think you are hard on moccasins. They swim with a certain sinister grace, and they are blessedly silent, and don’t make the listener’s ears bleed.

;-)

What was it Gingrich said about Trump not having been through the “initiation rights”?

Looks like the Americans haven’t either.
