Ted Cruz Says Donald Trump's Voters Have "relatively low information" And Are "not that engaged"
CBN News ^ | March 10, 2016 | David Brody

Posted on 03/10/2016 6:23:01 AM PST by VitacoreVision

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice. Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed.” Hunch: I’m thinking Trump and his “Silent Majority” may push back on this just a bit don’t you think? Lots to unpack here but for now, here’s the clip.

Our interview was done Wednesday afternoon in Miami.

I fully admit, I’m one of the people Cruz is talking about. I was low information about Trump too. I thought it was “neat” he was pounding on the establishment mercilessly. I don’t have cable and wasn’t really paying attention to the process prior to my caucuses, but was listening to Rush and Hannity who seemed OK with Trump. I couldn’t figure out why Beck was going ape-bleep crazy over Trump. I attacked people like Romney and Norm Coleman for interfering with the primary process.

Then I managed to watch that last debate, and it really opened my eyes. Trump was unbelievably boorish. Trump could not answer basic questions. Trump changed his position to whatever was convenient. Trump outright lied about Trump University and other parts of his businesses. Trump would not explain his support of Democrats and Democrat policies. So I looked more into what Trump believed in and who he has supported over his life.

I guess I should still thank Trump for taking out Jeb Bush who was a major concern for me, but I don’t think Trumpsters should get their hopes up too much with regard to what Trump will do to DC, the GOP establishment, or any major American policy. The guy is still a New York liberal and will be very Bloomberg-esque once he gets into office.

They are way past hope...Trumps become Messianic to save the USA in many of their eyes. You’re right saying he’s a liberal...and the fact is he’s telling people he is and will be if elected....unfortunately his listeners have itchy ears, just as Obama supporters did....this is a carbon copy of the Obama cult of personality and has all the same markings.

Interesting is it’s somehow OK if it’s this side of the aisle.

The idea that you can win over support by insulting the target of your efforts? Really? How brilliant.

Oh PLEASE. Just because you see Cruz as a messianic figure and Trump as the devil doesn’t mean that everyone worships their candidates like that.

X-spert entertains expectations that demand TRUMP take 75% of all votes everywhere in primary states and demands nothing of Cruz losing the entire South, his absolute, genuINE, guaranteed firewall, full of Evangelicals (but for Texas, won by the lowest home state margin in history).

All this as we head North and see the Cruz “firewall” in the rear view mirror.

No, this mathematician can play games, but I believe TRUMP picks up even more steam with his 3 man campaign composed of himself, Corey, and Hunt, all on a financial shoestring. Throw in Jeff Sessions and you can stretch it to four, if you wish.

It’s hardly worth a reply, but I appreciate your math Gato.

Thanks and I hear you, Cruz supporters have been saying some outrageous things lately. While up to a week and a half ago, I was a big Cruz supporter too until some of his recent actions and revealings that made me think twice.

“The snotty tone Cruz and his supporters have for Trump supporters is the EXACT same tone...”

Hahaha! Snotty is a perfect descriptor for anything having to do with the booger burglar Ted Cruz.

Trump is the same as Obama. Funniest most ridiculous load of BS I’ve heard all day. Get a clue.

I recently met some new friends of my daughter and SIL. They’re in their early 30s, married with kids, HS education. He sounds and looks like Jim Breuer from SNL in the 90s, who played the typical stoner, but this guy doesn’t smoke pot. I’m amazed but that kid knows his sh!t. He’s not a Freeper but he goes on Breitbart and Drudge and similar sites and educates himself. He’s from a conservative family so most of it is just common sense. He’s totally for Trump, and Cruz just stepped in it bigtime.

There’s something wrong with him. He has no social skills at all. He was so obsequious and fawning on Megyn’s show last night that it was embarrassing. And now he says this the next day. What a maroon!

The difference is....we pay Ted. In fact, we’ve paid him for the last 15 or 20 years. It’s best not to bite the hand that feeds you....because they might stop. Surprised Mr. Know-It-All Ted never learned that.
