Surprise! NSA data will soon routinely be used for domestic policing that has nothing to do

What does this rule change mean for you? In short, domestic law enforcement officials now have access to huge troves of American communications, obtained without warrants, that they can use to put people in cages. FBI agents don’t need to have any “national security” related reason to plug your name, email address, phone number, or other “selector” into the NSA’s gargantuan data trove. They can simply poke around in your private information in the course of totally routine investigations. And if they find something that suggests, say, involvement in illegal drug activity, they can send that information to local or state police. That means information the NSA collects for purposes of so-called “national security” will be used by police to lock up ordinary Americans for routine crimes. And we don’t have to guess who’s going to suffer this unconstitutional indignity the most brutally. It’ll be Black, Brown, poor, immigrant, Muslim, and dissident Americans: the same people who are always targeted by law enforcement for extra “special” attention.

The Stasi is here. Before Bush and Obama, the NSA as a DOD agency was strictly forbidden from being a domestic spy agency.
Widespread jury nullification is a weapon that should be used in -all- federal cases.

Satan has always wanted to be like YHWH, and he is always imitating YHWH. One of the things YHWN is that Satan can’t be is omniscient, i.e., all knowing. So, as we get to the End of Days, Satan finally has the (Daniel 12) technology to get as close as he can. We should rename NSA the National Satanic-Intelligence Agency.

Bush was also into his eyeballs in it. Most GOP candidates support NSA domestic spying. This isn’t something the democrats did and the repubs are here to rescue you.

You mean Eddy the Traitor? The guy who single-handedly destroyed the nations cyber-security by handing the Chinese and the Russians our Methods and Means of collecting their data? That Eddy the Snowman? The guy that exposed all our HUMIT resources down to Admin level to possible arrest and death?

There was a guy here who worked, ummmm, in an official spying capacity for the DOD. One day, a drug dealer came across his bandwidth so he rolled a tape on the guy.

His superiors slammed him for it, because it wasn’t legal, so the tape was destroyed. So the scumbag drug dealer wasn’t nailed, but the separation of powers were preserved.

Thought it was an interesting story. My how times change.

These guys that get into the drug business must have a wish to be caught. Because they will catch them and they will put them away.

“Surprise! NSA data will soon routinely be used for domestic policing that has nothing to do with terrorism”

....and tax collection, blackmail, political extortion, persecution for beliefs of all kinds, liberal political fundraising....

There is no capability that isn’t misused by government. Just look at the IRS and it’s new role as Liberal Ideology Enforcement and white voter suppression.

The FBI is first and foremost a Counter-Intelligence organization. Domestic Law Enforcement is their secondary mission.

They have primary responsibility for tracking and investigating foreign agents in this country - spies and terrorists.
