Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz Split Anti-Donald Trump Vote In Florida

A Florida Atlantic University public opinion poll released Saturday showed Donald Trump with 44 percent of the vote and Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz with 21 percent each. With the primary just days away, 5 percent of Florida Republicans still hadn't made up their minds.

If the numbers hold through Tuesday's primary, the billionaire businessman and part-time Palm Beach resident would win all of Florida's 99 nominating delegates in the winner-take-all primary.

If Rubio, Florida's junior U.S. senator, fares as poorly in actual votes in his home state as the poll indicates, it would be a devastating blow to his presidential hopes. If Cruz, a senator from Texas, finishes even with Rubio, that could boost his argument that he's the best alternative to Trump.

Trump supporters get subjective with the truth. Just because Cruz holds Trump accountable for what Trump says, does not mean he supports BLM and moveon.org.

*Snort*

And if she hadn’t been wearing such a short skirt, she wouldn’t have been raped, right?

Dude, you might not like Trump’s rhetoric, but Cruz outright dishing out a share of the blame to Trump because of the actions of these feral maniacs is beyond the pale. There are NO words Trump could have said that justify this behavior, especially towards innocent bystanders.

Or are you blaming Trump’s supporters for being assaulted too?

Whatever the case, Cruz’s words were absolutely disgusting, and your desperate defense of them is somewhere between disgusting and contemptible.

This is why polls constantly show Cruz beating Trump one-on-one. Trump has won all along because of a splintered vote. He cannot even get a majority of Republican primary voters and 65% of the national electorate will not vote for him

Way to beat Hillary!!
==
Cruz cannot win FL or OH in this election or any other, therefore a vote for Cruz is always a vote for the Dem.

Trump cornered the nut job vote Cruz is consolidating the the votes of the sane people. When
Kasich and Rubio drop out Trump will be in big trouble.

The meltdown on this board will be epic.

Bullcrap.

Provide the exact quote that says that. And cite the source.

Don’t confuse the mob, with facts and verified quotes m. They are rabid now, beyond reason, and a few want a clash and blood. Just read the posts. Some are actually advocating confronting directly people assembled for Sanders and this will necessarily result in violence. It also plays right into the unfair negative narrative based on bad optics the leftist media is now constructing for Trump for use by Hitlery on the fall.

Just because Cruz is the only one left standing against the insanity of Trump doesn’t make Cruz GOPe.

What nonsense. Cruz had a a record. Trump was an advocate of Partial Birth Abortion when 63. He supported TARP, the Auto bailout, Obamacare when it was first passed, thought Clinton was a great SoS, the list goes on.

You might want to think about WHO is being deceived.

So your point is that Trump talks like a fighter/doer and that Cruz talks like a lawyer/politician.

You will have to exercise more intellect and imagination, then. There are some of us out here who still despise demagoguery as nearly as much as we loathe socialism and redistributionism.

When Kasich and Rubio drop out Trump will be in big trouble.

That's not how it works. About a third of the Kasich/Rubio supporters would vote for Cruz, about a third for Trump, and the rest would not vote.

I think you can safely put Rush in that pathetic group too.

Regretfully, you are correct. Thanks to Trump, events are stripping the veneer off of ALL the two-faced bastards who talked a good game, but all the while they were in cahoots with the same globalist plotters and manipulators.

As for Rush?

I was listening to him back in '95 when he was carried on WOKV-AM in Jacksonville Florida, but he's dead to me now.

Right. No winning candidate ever emerged from a bruising primary and attracted the rest of the party’s followers. That’s never happened ever. Never, ever! Really.

I’m being sarcastic by the way .

How can anyone back Ted Cruz after this weekend is beyond me

First, before Cruz said anything about Trump, he laid primary blame with the actual perpetrators. I am a Trump supporter, and agree that Cruz went on too long and hard on Trump creating an atmosphere where this was more likely to happen (true, but not relevant).

I support Cruz because he is a consistently proven pro-lifer, a small government conservative and has a coherent underlying moral philosophy. I understand people supporting Trump, and if he gets the nomination, fine (as long as he watches what he says/does about Planned Parenthood).

Complaining that people still prefer a candidate other than yours is not a great way to persuade people to your point of view.

It is true! Trump and crews are splitting the anti-Rubio vote! Nobody has noticed yet because it's a small phenomenon!

How delusional of you to think that all Kasick and Rubio supporters all think alike. That is never true in any group. Most of them will vote for the Republican candidate, even if he’s Trump. They know the most important thing in this election is keeping HC out of the White House.

Funny how the Cruzers avoid talking about this. Their guy is connected to the hip with the Bush Dynasty.
