Cruz in Utah: Glenn Beck says he’s fulfillment of Mormon prophecy, Gayle Ruzicka predicts he’ll be better than Reagan.
Republican Presidential candidate Ted Cruz told Utahns on Saturday that the biggest danger America faces is career politicians who no longer listen — and he relishes battling them for the people.

Beck, a Mormon and conservative radio talk show host, said he always vows to be the worst enemy of politicians who do not keep promises. "I don't have any friends in Washington except these two," he said about Cruz and Lee. He added they are the first politicians he has even endorsed.
Beck said that he, like many Mormons, believe in a prophecy that the Constitution will hang by a thread in the last days. He said he believes that now is that time, and people like Lee and Cruz will save it.

While not scheduled to appear, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney — who had been campaigning for any GOP presidential candidate except Donald Trump — gave a big boost to Cruz the day before his visit.
He asked voters in a Facebook post to support Cruz, and said he would vote for him personally during the Utah GOP caucuses on Tuesday.
"The only path that remains to nominate a Republican rather than Mr. Trump is to have an open convention. At this stage, the only way we can reach an open convention is for Sen. Cruz to be successful in as many of the remaining nominating elections as possible," Romney wrote.
"Today, there is a contest between Trumpism and Republicanism. Through the calculated statements of its leader, Trumpism has become associated with racism, misogyny, bigotry, xenophobia, vulgarity and, most recently, threats and violence. I am repulsed by each and every one of these," wrote Romney,

I believe Ted is supposed to be southern Baptist and they concider Mormonism to be a unchristian cult so why is he still with Glen Beck?
I think it shows he thinks 'show' is more important than 'being real'. There was probably a camera person yelling, "Hey Ted, give us a shot of you kissing your daughter".
It's not like Ted isn't used to 'performing' at the behest of a camera crew.

I don't think that's true. I just think she's at that age where getting kissed by daddy isn't 'cute' anymore, and she has probably had to endure it over and over and over every time she gets off the bus and she's fed up with it.
The only part that bothers me is that Ted would feel he HAS to do it for photo ops to win the election.
Because Rush turned them down ?
Dragging these kids around the country on a campaign bus should be considered child abuse ... i’m sure they will grow up very well adjusted
There is something really strange about the interaction between Cruz and his oldest daughter. She seems to really dislike him.

I can not think of a logical reason for Cruz to keep Beck around.
