Heidi Cruz, the wife of GOP presidential contender Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% , deflected a threat by Donald Trump to spill the beans on her during a brief press conference in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Well, as you probably know by now, most of the things that Donald Trump says have no basis in reality, Mrs. Cruz responded to a reporters question about Trumps tweet.
So we are not worried in the least and [we are] focusing on our campaign, and we are going to continue to do that, she said.
(snip)
What I think most women want is a better future for their children, and thats what I want and its why Ted and I are running, Mrs. Cruz added.

That police report really doesn’t sound so bad to me. Not drunk or on pills. Just really, really sad.
Also, that’s a one-off several years ago. If she was truly an unstable person, there would be a pattern.
This is a nothing-burger.
Yes! I read them! Oh my!
“Back in 2011 on TV Trump told a reporter that his private investigators unearthed amazing things on Obamas background and would be releasing them very soon.”
The original plan was that Obama wasn’t going to run for reelection. The reason for Obama not running again was going to blamed on the ultra violent racist right wing extremist. Hillary was supposed to take his place.
When that plan screwed up he was going to run but loose to the Republican and set it up for Hillary to run in 2016 against a repub president.
Hillary’s screw up with Benghazi scrapped that plan and Obama had to be reelected to cover up Benghazi.
Trump was helping Hillary in her planned run for 2012.
Now he’s helping her for 2016.
“This is a nothing-burger” Until Drudge has it as a headline.
Kooky
Wow. Just wow. I pray for her. But if I were the Cruz’s, I would be quiet about someone else’s “values.”
... and “A pit of vipers; also, his wife.”

Ted Cruz, the former Texas solicitor general and tea party favorite for the Republican nomination for Senate, has been focusing some of his harshest campaign trail rhetoric on that longtime villain of those suspicious of U.S. internationalism: The Council on Foreign Relations.
The New York-based group, Cruz said at a speech to a Republican women’s group in Sugarland, Tex., last week, is “a pit of vipers.”
When asked about the Council at another event in Tyler, Tex., on Oct. 15 — Texas, home of Ron Paul and Alex Jones, is the sort of place this comes up a lot — Cruz called the organization “a pernicious nest of snakes” that is “working to undermine our sovereignty,” according to video provided by someone who opposes his candidacy.
Well, Cruz should know: The candidate’s wife, Heidi S. Cruz, was an active member of the Council on Foreign Relations until this June. She was a member until June on a 5-year “term membership” program, an official at the organization confirmed.
Expanding Opportunity through Free Trade
Do you know what her passion is? Heidi is a big fan of Milton Friedman and Frederich Hayek. Her big passion is to teach regular folks how to get involved in the free enterprise system. That is what she was doing in Houston. She was in a corporate capacity working for GS encouraging people to understand why it is good to participate in what is their God-given right - economic liberty.
Is that really the best you have?
Says who? Sounds like people are scratching their buts when they should be finishing their vetting.
I know there are smokey backroom deals being made with the Cruz team, with Bush, Romney and other GOPe. Promises of Cabinet appointments, etc. Jeb as Sec Education probably, Romney as Commerce, others as well................
I began inclined towards Cruz, but welcomed Trump’s entry into the race with delight as he was a bull in the china shop. The more I heard from Trump the more I thought of him as a highly successful ultra-establishment grifter, completely un-moored from principle or virtue. And the more I hear from Trump supporters, the less I like their candidate.
It’ll be good to have a mental case that is a Goldman stooge in the White House.
I have been posting privately to folks after seeing her resume, that she will not be the FLOTUS type that will glom onto a non-controversial cause like childhood literacy.
The "and I" is the problem, did she just unmask herself? We do not need another 2-fer, aka Bill and Hill with Hill pushing Socialized Medicine. What would be her push? Something Goldman-Sachs is really interested in?
I'll pass thank you very much, sadly Ted is becoming the biggest bar none disappointment for me, as if we as constitutional conservatives / FR-er's haven't had enough of them already.
It is time for him to suspend, I am not sure I want him as VPOTUS anymore, Alpha Males or Queen Bee's only. Alan West or a business Titan like Alan Mulally is looking better every day.
If that were the case, Dewhurst would have hammered him with it during the runoff election.
Gettin' desperate, my FRiend?
Let me know when you have facts on Cruz. We already have the pictures of a few of Trumps’ conquests(wives)
“Oh, I forgot, Hey, Heidi, what about that police report about you? Were you so distressed by your husbands crap that you contemplated committing suicide?”
Posing nude is great, but being distressed and contemplating suicide is bad?
I've enjoyed many of your posts in Friendlier times, i.e. before the Trump/Cruz donnybrook. I apologize for my intemperate remarks this morning, and will endeavor to stick to the issues and not the personal insults being bandied back and forth.
FWIW, Ms. Cruz joined G/S in 2005, 8+ years before her husband was elected Senator, although I believe her husband was Texas Solicitor General in 2005. Whatever his position, it did not have the status of being a governor.
Had there been more damaging skeletons in her closet, I have no doubts they would have been unearthed by now.
And take your Cruz worship and shove it.
Vitriolic, but understandable, given the tenor of my post this morning.
