Ted Cruz has few friends on Capitol Hill, and the establishment is starting to line up behind him to take out Donald Trump.
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham have endorsed Cruz, and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Florida Senator Marco Rubio have hinted that they also might come along.
Cruz's base of support comes from conservative women, educated evangelicals, older voters and nationally syndicated conservative radio talk show hosts. Mark Levin and Glenn Beck have endorsed him, and he gets strong support from Rush Limbaugh.
Though Cruz has a friend in right-wing media, Donald Trump is still winning. Is conservative talk radio, once a powerful force in Republican politics, losing its influence? For answers, we turn to Darryl Parks, a media consultant and former talk radio host.
Someone posted yesterday that he was backing off his support. I hope he’s still on board.

With Public education, students are graduated with less and less abilities to think, so I don’t wonder that conservative programming, which requires thought to comprehend, would be drawing proportionately smaller audiences.
Conservative talk radio is losing influence for the same reasons the GOPe is. People see through the bull$hit that people like Rush and Levin spew. They are just hacks like everyone else.

They are irrelevant. I stopped listening to all of them.
Stopped listening to Hannity a long time ago (too repetitive and shrill) and Rush has gone native GOPe, as much as he tries to mask it. Also clear that he rubs elbows with media bigwigs on a regular basis.
The only radio I go out of my way to listen to are Chris Plante and Red Eye Radio. Red Eye has podcasts.
They all have, including all media in general, can spew out total lies, incite rioting, blatant untrue insinuations, manipulation of information foriegn and domestic with no repercussions.
They are afraid their ‘special’ status will be taken away and have to answer for their conduct and the garbage coming out of their mouths.
You can also toss in the mix the members of Congress who have used the same vile conduct, for decades.
As long as Armed American Radio exists, the answer is no.
In Houston Michael Berry at KTRH has his head so far up the Cruz/Bush asses he can’t breath.
Rush is a lost cause now for me. The only time I turn the radio on for him is when I ma in the car and there is no decent music playing.
He is all over the place and to say he is not for anyone in this election is a bold face lie.

You are right there. But I do not think that Trump had anything to do with the latest on Cruz and the 5 women. It looks like hatred for Cruz by outside groups did this on their own and I cannot see where Trump had anything to do with it. And it would seem by the trashing of Trump also that it has not benefited him.

Turned off Beck first, then Levin, and went from listening to Rush 3 hours a day M - F to now about 15 minutes 2 days a week. Since I doubt Im alone one could say it’s losing influence.
Thank you..we got rid of cable (again) so I am always looking for other options.
Going for a guy who thinks "The economy does better under the Democrats " and that we should restrain ourselves from insulting Mohammed is not the change we needed.
